FAQs

The Wedding Website of Shana Willeford and Taylor Van Loh
Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes! We have opted to have a "bring your own" policy. We have many guests that will be traveling and we want everyone to get home safely. For this reason, we will not have an open bar. The venue does not allow glass bottles. NOTE: ALL ALCOHOL MUST BE TURNED IN TO THE BARTENDER

Question

Which side do I sit on at the ceremony?

Answer

Any side! We're all friends and family now.

Question

Who is the "man"?

Answer

Great question! We are both females. There is no man.

Question

Whose last name are you taking?

Answer

While it would be easier to just choose one, where is the fun in that? We will be combining our last names into Vanford. We feel like this is the best way to honor both families and signify the equality in our partnership.

Question

Will the ceremony be religious?

Answer

Yes! Shana has written a ceremony special to our occasion.

Question

I am unsure that I agree with this.

Answer

We understand and that is perfectly your opinion. All we ask is that if you are not going to contribute positive energy on our big day, then please ignore the optics and choose to decline our invitation. We love you anyways!

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

Yes! Absolutely! Take all the pictures you want, but please make sure you don't take pictures or video during the wedding ceremony its self! Shana and Taylor have hired an amazing photographer to capture this moment for them and want to avoid the all-too-common "phone or tablet ruining the shot" pictures. Furthermore, it is in the contract with the hired photographer that guests please keep their phones, cameras, and tablets away during the ceremony. At the dinner and reception: take all the photos you want! Post them on social media? YES! Don't forget to tag us and add #BecomingVanford to the caption!

Question

Indoor or outdoor ceremony?

Answer

Weather permitting it will be a B-E-A-Utiful outdoor ceremony. If the weather does not permit- fear not we have a plan B. Dress Comfy!

Question

What type of food will be served?

Answer

Cake. Cake. And then some more cake. There will also be tacos of the chicken and brisket variety.

For all the days along the way
