Ferry Reservations

Travel to Bald Head Island requires a ferry and tram, so please plan ahead and book tickets a couple of months in advance. Click "View" for the website How to Book: 1) Select your departure date and set departure as "Deep Point Marina" and destination as "Bald Head Island." Then choose a ferry departure time. 2) Select your return date and departure time. 3) Choose the number of passengers and click continue 4) Add tram service. This is how you’ll travel from the ferry to your rental home. Tram staff will handle loading and unloading your luggage. (Bikes can also be added here if desired.) 5) In Step 3, enter passenger information and your rental home address so the tram can plan stops accordingly.

Deep Point Marina- Southport

1301 Ferry Road Southport, NC 28461 We recommend arriving at the marina at least 30 minutes prior to departure. When you arrive at Deep Point Marina, drop off your luggage before parking. Marina staff will load your bags onto a cart for the ferry. Keep personal items like backpacks and purses with you. Staff will be available to guide you through the process. After dropping off your luggage, park your car in the lot. You’ll receive a parking ticket upon entry. Be sure to keep this ticket so you can exit later (keeping it in your car is helpful). Taking a quick photo of where you parked is also recommended. Parking is $13 per day. The ferry website has helpful details on parking, tickets, luggage, and directions. There are restrooms and a cafe on the second floor. Once you have everyone in your party, they will scan your tickets to board the ferry.

Tram

After arriving to the island and exiting the ferry, stop at the check-in podium. Then locate your assigned tram and bring your luggage to it; staff will load everything for you. The tram will take you directly to your rental home.
