What is the ceremony attire?
Answer
The ceremony is the only part of the celebration with an attire request, everything else is up to you! We ask you wear something dressy casual inspired by island and coastal tones. Think sundresses and button ups, but no jeans please. We’ve added some sample colors in the “gallery” to help guide the overall look for photos, but don’t worry about matching perfectly, just something in that range!

What does the rental house provide?
Answer
Check with your rental home before packing anything. Most of them are well equipped with kitchen ware, bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas etc. so before you rent or pack anything, contact the rental company to see what they have. They will provide sheets, bath towels and things of that nature as well.
Question
Should we pack food?
Answer
You can, but there is a grocery store on the island and the prices are consistent with stores off the island. Bringing a lot of food can be challenging because of the ferry, but we have seen families pack coolers full of food. Ultimately it is up to you!

Can you purchase liquor on the island?
Answer
Yes! Cape Fear Distillery recently opened a store on the island where you can purchase alcohol. If you have a particular liquor you prefer, you may want to bring it from home.

What if we need more golf carts?
Answer
Bald Head is a golf cart community and if you find you need more golf carts, don't fret! You can rent more if needed. We suggest getting to the island first before renting in case the home happens to have more than advertised by the rental company. The same goes for bikes. Sometimes they surprise you!

What happens if it rains?
Answer
To spice things up, we decided to have our wedding at the beach during hurricane season. So, we do have a back up plan which is to have a ceremony where we plan to do the reception.

Is there emergency personnel on the island?
Answer
Yes! There are firefighters, medics and police officers on the island should you need anything. And for those of you wondering, you can be awarded a ticket for driving under the influence... even with a golf cart, so make good choices!

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?
Answer
We have a talented photographer joining us for the whole day! So please, no photos during the ceremony. (One less thing you have to think about!)

What’s for dinner?
Answer
For the rehearsal dinner we will be going to a Mexican restaurant called Cozumel. For the reception, we are having pizza! We wanted our rehearsal dinner, wedding and reception to be super low key and casual, so what comfort food is better than that? If you have any food restrictions, please let us know and we will make sure you’re taken care of!

Where's the registry?
Answer
Your company is all we want! We’re not having a registry for the ceremony, as we’re just grateful you’re taking the time to be there with us. We’ll be hosting a celebration a couple of weeks later, and a registry link will be included with that invitation for anyone who wishes to participate, but absolutely no pressure.
