Bride
Nick knew he didn’t stand a chance when he first caught a glimpse of Taylor’s mesmerizing eyes above her mask at the doors of Crosstown Concourse back in December 2021. Certifiably smart (Master’s degree), extremely attractive (10 out of 10), and incredibly down to earth, experts to this day are still trying to understand how exactly he was able to pull her. EONS out of Nick’s league, some would say her romance with Nick rivals that of Taylor and Travis, although Nick is much less remarkable. In the same way a pasta is only as good as its sauce, Taylor brings out the best in Nick and complements him perfectly. Where Nick was messy, cheap, and scatterbrained, Taylor has taught him to be organized and clean. If it weren’t for Taylor, Nick would never know the coziness of Barefoot Dreams blankets, the necessity of having dog collars for every month of the year, and the value of organizers/decluttering. She has also shown Nick real music, converting him from a Drake f***boy to a Swifty in merely three years. Most of all, Nick adores Taylor and couldn’t imagine going through this life with anyone other than her. She is constantly doted on by her pets Gracie, Milo, and Reyna, as well as Nick’s dog Callie, and Nick himself.

When Taylor first met Nick, she thought, “It would be really cool if I got to marry this guy… imagine having the last name Lord.” But her brain quickly chimed in: “This guy is way too handsome, smart, funny, and out of my league. He would never marry me.” Little did she know that on Christmas Eve of 2023, he would surprise her by showing up in front of her entire family to propose-still the best day of her life (until October 11th, 2025, that is). Nick has taught Taylor many things-for instance, just how serious Fantasy Football really is. She once thought, “It’s fantasy-how serious can it be?” Nick quickly corrected her on that. He’s also taught her a bit about soybeans. He's even shown her the importance of driver safety (and, to her slight dismay, driving at least five miles under the speed limit). But on a more meaningful note, Nick has shown Taylor the beauty in everyday moments and the importance of being present. Things that once felt routine-like running errands or walking the dogs-now feel special when he's by her side. By cooking thoughtful meals almost every day, he’s shown Taylor what it truly means to feel cared for. He’s also proven that no bad day can’t be turned around with a goofy impression. Most of all, he’s taught her not to take life so seriously. Life is hard enough-but with Nick, she has a safe place to land at the end of every day.
Maid of Honor
Taylor (MOH) and Taylor (bride) have been best friends for over 20 years. They share a love for blasting old songs for nostalgia's sake and have spent countless cozy weekend mornings watching cooking shows. They have experienced so much together, from getting lost in Chicago to experiencing the Eras Tour in Philly, even though they had to sit far away from each other. As anyone who watched them grow up together can attest, they are more like sisters than best friends. Saturday mornings were a special kind of magic: cozying up to watch reality tv and countless movies. I still owe you for giving me the floor seat ❤️
Best Man
Nick made many fond memories in college, some which probably shouldn't be repeated but ALL of which involve Kavin. They first met during the beginning of freshman year at Virginia Tech in Main Campbell (Nick’s dorm hall). Quickly finding common ground in their love for music, sports, and their South Asian heritage, Nick immediately knew he met his partner in crime. It wasn’t long before they became virtually inseparable, navigating the nuances of college and career with starry-eyed optimism, relentless tenacity, and reckless abandon. During this time, they also discovered a shared passion for travel that remains to this day. They regularly go on adventures together both within and outside the U.S., having explored the Dominican Republic, Spain, Iceland, Toronto, and Mexico City, as well as New York, Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Louis, and more. Throughout their friendship, their conversations about life, relationships, and success have helped shape Nick into who he is today.
Maid of Honor
Alyson and Taylor met in calculus class during our freshman year of high school. They survived calculus and went on to share so many unforgettable experiences. As two people who are terrible with directions, they have gotten lost together more times than they can count. But even getting lost can be fun when you’re blasting Kendrick Lamar's "Humble" the whole way - which they did, repeatedly. From their impromptu Nashville trip to kayaking 20 miles in treacherous conditions (and not flipping once I might add) to their cringeworthy dad jokes, there are many memories left to come.

Known as the “341 Historian”, Diddy has an uncanny ability to capture moments and preserve them in time through his meticulous notetaking and brilliant storytelling. He, along with Kavin, was one of Nick’s roommates at the notorious “341” (an old, creaky townhouse with no garbage disposal, footprints on the ceiling, and a lousy landlord who never fixed anything). Despite its shortcomings, 341 was our home for over two years during college and it quickly became the backdrop for some of our fondest and most cherished college memories. Ultimately, that rickety townhouse allowed Nick, Diddy, and Kav to develop an unbreakable, brotherly bond with each other (not too different from that of Arjun, Kabir, and Imran in the hit Hindi movie Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara) that remains strong to this very day.

Taylor and Victoria met in Memphis at work. They got each other through countless hard days. Even on the worst days, they could be found laughing hysterically, the kind of laugh that sounds like you're dying. They barely acknowledge each other by their names, and instead refer to each other as “bestie” - our birth names only come out during the most serious of conversations, such as when we're giving each other advice that we know the other won't listen to. Love you, bestie ❤️I would get pulled over while blasting Whitney Houston with you any time.

As fate would have it, Nick and Edgar “crossed” paths on Day 1 of Plant Biology during their sophomore year at Virginia Tech. Unbeknownst to Nick, he was about to unintentionally befriend the only other student in the entire college who was as crazy as he was to pursue a degree in Plant Breeding & Genetics. What began as an academic partnership slowly “evolved” into a strong, “mutualistic” friendship where they can always vent to each other about work in a way no one else would understand. Edgar is also an extremely “nurturing” and loyal friend, and has been there to support Nick through several good and bad “environments.” As the hard working person he is, Edgar has become the superior geneticist of the two as he currently pursues a PhD in Plant Breeding & Genetics at Texas A&M. Meanwhile, Nick sits on his couch trying to think of more plant breeding puns to put in his wedding bio.

If you know Becca, you have probably been lucky enough to experience hearing the absolute most contagious laugh on this planet. She has the most comforting presence and makes you feel like everything will be okay. Some of the best memories with Becca happen around the table on family game nights, there have been too many moments to count where we had to wipe the tears from our eyes from laughing so hard. Those kinds of moments are the kind you can only have with Becca - her kindheartedness and empathy makes her exactly who you need by your side on your wedding day.

No one knows why Nick, a Sri Lankan-American, decided to join the Vietnamese Student Association at Virginia Tech. However, it is a good thing he did or he would not have met Kevin. Neither Kevin nor Nick knew what their future held when they first met; their only concern was getting booze, smoking hookah, and talking about football, life, and VSA. From sophomore year to Senior year, much tomfoolery would go on to take place at Kevin’s apartment on the weekends between Kavin, Nicky, Mike, and others in the Harold & Kumars (aka the “H&K’s”). Slowly these casual conversations about VSA turned into actionable ideas and before Senior year, Kevin was elected President and Nick as his Vice President, leading to a truly magical term to end our college careers that even Obama/Biden would be proud of. Outside of VSA, Kevin is one of Nick’s most trusted sources of support for everything from relationships, leadership, emotional intelligence, and fashion. As an added bonus, he is an excellent photographer and one of the few people in the world who can actually take pictures of Nick that aren’t ugly.

Sydney is one of the absolute best people to be around - she can brighten anyone’s day just with her bubbly personality and kindness. As the older cousin, Taylor used to lead the way when it came to the fashion of the women in our family. Now, the tables have turned. Sydney has the absolute best style and Taylor is often seen asking, “Where did you get that?” But Sydney's beauty goes way beyond her cute clothes. She is endlessly selfless, always putting others first and going out of her way to make sure things go perfectly. One of the most heartfelt examples of this was when Nick proposed to Taylor. Sydney was right there, ensuring every detail went smoothly so that the moment was nothing short of magical.

As Nick’s older brother, Shamal is one of the four people who has truly known Nick for his entire life (since diapers). Given this, he understands Nick in a way that even Nick’s best and closest friends do not, and has seen him at his best and his worst. When they were kids, Nick and Shamal always bonded playing sports. They could have spent the past 3 hours annoying each other at the house, but as soon as they got on the field or basketball court, they could read each others’ minds. When they played football, Shamal played Quarterback while Nick played Wide Receiver, and he would always throw the ball in just the right spot so that Nick could make the catch over the defender. In basketball, Shamal played point guard, knowing when and where to place the bounce pass in order for Nick to score. As they’ve gotten older, Shamal continues to give “assists” to his little brother, always providing him with timely career, personal, or financial support whenever he needs it.

Lauren is the most kindhearted, gentle person you will ever meet. Her empathy is unmatched and her calming presence is amazing. She is the type of person who would find someone sitting alone, sit next to them, and make them feel valued. She always assumes the best in others, even when it’s hard for others to do so. Her unwavering optimism in people has helped Taylor see the world differently, slowly shifting her perspective and helping her be a little less cynical. Lauren's optimism and comforting presence is why she can't envision my wedding day without her.

Egemen has quickly risen the ranks as one of Nick’s best and most cherished friends since they first met during Halloween 2021. Their friendship has been exactly what you’d expect from two drunk guys dressed up like ZZ Top and a Sriracha bottle: revelrous & unpredictable, yet reliably heartwarming. Egemen’s companionship has been very valuable for Nick, though it has perhaps been even more valuable for the city of Memphis as a whole. Before Nick moved to Nashville, he and Egemen often met on the weekends to give back to Grind City in a variety of ways. Their loud, heated debates on the patio of Young Avenue Deli were essential in educating bar-goers of the nuance that exists in a wide variety of political and philosophical matters. Their willingness to dance when no one else would, not only endeared them to up-and-coming performers at Ernestine & Hazels, but also ignited dancefloors by pushing people to join in just to spare themselves from watching. Furthermore, despite being some of the cheapest and most frugal individuals you will ever meet, they selflessly spent on beer and overpriced street food solely for the purpose of supporting local businesses (sobriety be damned). Through it all, one thing has become increasingly clear- no matter what the price of eggs are, this one's worth every penny.
