All wedding events for the weekend will take place at The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee. We strongly encourage guests to stay at the resort and to book early in order to take advantage of the best available rates. Please note: For those unfamiliar with the area, Lake Oconee is quite remote, and there are very few restaurants, shops, or activities outside of the resort. Additionally, nearly all amenities and recreational offerings — including the spa, pools, golf, and lake activities — are exclusive to Ritz-Carlton guests. Staying on property ensures not only convenience for wedding festivities, but also access to the full experience of the resort. This hotel is located about 20 minutes from The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee. Transportation will be provided to and from this property for the Welcome Party and the Wedding Ceremony/ Reception and After Party. Please note that while this hotel offers comfortable accommodations, it does not have the same on-site amenities or activities as the Ritz-Carlton. As a result, guests may find fewer options for things to do during the day. If you are traveling from out of town and planning to explore the area during the day, we recommend renting a car. Due to the remote nature of Lake Oconee, ride-sharing services such as Uber and Lyft are not available in this area. Travel Note
There are a number of Airbnb and vacation rental options available in the Lake Oconee area for those looking for alternative accommodations. As mentioned above, ride-sharing services such as Uber and Lyft are not available in this area and we will not be providing transportation to and from the wedding venue for guests staying off-property (other than for those staying at the Tru by Hilton). If you choose to stay at an Airbnb, we recommend arranging private transportation in advance.
Travel Note
For guests flying into Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), we recommend renting a car for the most convenient and flexible travel option to Greensboro. The drive from ATL to the Lake Oconee area takes approximately 90 minutes, and having your own vehicle will be the most convenient way to get to and from Lake Oconee. ATL’s Rental Car Center is easily accessible via the free ATL SkyTrain, which runs 24/7 from the main terminal. Major rental car companies like Hertz, Enterprise, Avis, and Budget are all located there. If you prefer not to drive, Groome Transportation offers a shuttle service from ATL to Greensboro. The shuttle will drop you off at the Chick-fil-A located at: 521 Towne Center Pkwy Greensboro, GA 30642 Please note that this drop-off location is approximately 20 minutes from The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee. If you choose this option and are staying at the Ritz, you will need to arrange a ride from the Chick-fil-A to the hotel. However, if you are staying at the Tru by Hilton, it is located right next to the Chick-fil-A, making this a more convenient option.
