The welcome party will take place outside on the Ritz's back lawn and the dress code will be lakeside cocktail attire — elegant yet relaxed for an evening by the water. Think floral or colorful dresses, flowy silhouettes, dressy jumpsuits, and elegant sandals or block heels. For men, lightweight suits or sport coats with dress pants are encouraged — ties optional. Lighter fabrics and seasonal colors are perfect for a May evening by the water. The wedding ceremony will take place outside and then we will move inside for the reception. The dress code for both will be lakeside luxe — formal flair with fresh, festive finesse. Women may opt for floor-length gowns or sophisticated formal dresses in seasonal hues or elegant prints. For men, suits with a tie are preferred — classic dark suits are always welcome, and thoughtfully chosen seasonal colors are equally encouraged. Elegant, polished, and celebration-ready, with a nod to our lakeside setting. May in Georgia is usually beautiful, with daytime temperatures in the 70s and pleasant evenings in the 50s–60s.
