We got legally married on July 9, 2020. It was an intimate civil ceremony, just us, an officiant, and a photographer at the Lily Pond in Lincoln Park. 

But a marriage is so much more than a couple. Its a blending of two distinct groups into one beautifully new family. 

That's why we don't think of July 10, 2022 as a "big party" or "just the reception." We're finishing the job. Our marriage won't be complete until we make vows in front of those we love most. Until we officially create our family.
