Mary Lynn and Taylor’s modern-day romance began the way many do these days... on a dating app! After matching on Hinge, their first date arrived in early December 2021 and promptly took a little detour. Thanks to a small mix-up, Mary Lynn found herself at the wrong restaurant and then on a 30-minute walk to the right one. She arrived late, flustered, and apologetic, but Taylor greeted her with his warm smile and immediately put her at ease. Within just a few minutes of conversation, he knew one thing for certain, Mary Lynn was absolutely worth the wait! Since that first date in 2021, Mary Lynn and Taylor have enjoyed their time together traveling, learning to cook new recipes, spending time with friends and family, and binge watching Survivor. In the summer of 2024, after his service in the Navy had come to an end, Taylor and Mary Lynn decided to move to Savannah, GA and create a home in the “Peach State”. Fresh off her graduation from a Master’s program at UNF, Mary Lynn found a 4th grade teaching position and is working her way up to a leadership role. Taylor was able to use his experience in the Navy to secure a job at Gulfstream, working on the electrical components of private aircraft. This new journey brought them closer together and they have supported each other every step of the way. Through every twist and turn along the way, Taylor and Mary Lynn have discovered that the best journeys are the ones taken side by side—full of laughter, support, and a whole lot of love!
