Where should I stay in the city?

Answer

Take a look at our "Travel and Lodging" page. There is a map and some information that might help you narrow down your choices based on what you want out of your visit (walkable, quiet, etc.). The good news is the city is quite small, and if you stay in any of the highlighted neighborhoods, you are only 20 minutes from our front door and the wedding venue. We have also blocked rooms the the Home2 Suites SLC East - this hotel is your best convenient option. Please text/call/email us if you want help narrowing down some locations! Is the venue in the mountains?

Answer

Yes! Your visit to Utah will be worth it - the venue is located on the mountainside inside of Parleys Canyon. However, it is a proper venue and very accessible, so you will not need to bring hiking shoes. There is a small hiking path that has multiple look outs, and leads to a waterfall. It is along a stone pathway - so it can be done in heels!

Is anything happening before/after the wedding?

Answer

Yes! Take a look at our "Schedule" page for details on the activities going on. We hope you can extend your visit to Salt Lake to partake! There will be a family/friends dinner the night before the wedding. The Monday and Tuesday after the wedding, there will be activities that you can join if you'd like. Monday's activity is a a bit strenuous, so stay until at least Tuesday to enjoy the leisure activity!

Is there a dress code?

Dressy Casual! Please remember we will be outdoors for this event - dress comfortably enough to enjoy the evening. We expect temperatures to begin in the mid 80's and drop into the 60's as the sun sets. Keep an eye on weather to see if you will need to bring a sweater!

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! Well, sort of. Take a look at our registry page. If you know us as a couple, you know that we have lived together for many years and have managed to fill a 4 bedroom house to the brim. Your presence is a gift in itself. However, if you are feeling generous, in lieu of typical registry gifts we ask that you assist with future life events!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 6PM, but we recommend being there 10-15 minutes beforehand to account for any driving/direction mishaps. The venue can be easy to miss! Please follow the directions under "Travel". or listed on the Louland Falls' website "Our Location"

Yes! Your invitation includes a "Plus One".
