FAQs

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We look forward to having our guests enjoy a fun evening of celebration—our wedding will be an adult-only occasion. We politely request no children attend. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have thoughtfully put together our guest list and have considered your significant others. Your invitation will address you and your guest if we have allocated space for them!

Question

Is there transportation to and from other hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

There will not be transportation from any of the other hotels in the Yosemite area. All wedding events will be located at Rush Creek Lodge.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please be at the hotel lobby by 3pm to be shuttled up to the ceremony site. It is a short walk but for ladies in heels, catch a ride up!

Question

Are there stores near Rush Creek Lodge?

Answer

There are not many stores near Rush Creek lodge so if you're driving or flying in, we recommend stopping by a store for snacks/drinks in the cities prior to getting close to Rush Creek. The lodge does have a small market as well as a restaurant and bar.

Question

Do I need reservations to get into Yosemite National Park?

Answer

As of January 2024, the Yosemite National Park is requiring that you make a reservation to get into the park to help with crowding and to keep the park a protected place. It is required that you have a reservation from 5 am to 4 pm on Saturday, October 5th and Sunday, October 6th. If you plan to enter the park before or after our wedding, you do not need a reservation for weekdays. If you do however, have a reservation to stay at the lodging options inside the National Park in the valley for instance, you do not need an additional reservation. If you don't have a reservation, you can still visit Yosemite. You must arrive at an entrance station (other than Hetch Hetchy) before 5 am or after 4 pm. You can visit the Hetch Hetchy area of the park when it is open (sunrise to sunset) without a reservation. You must make a reservation on recreation.gov. Reservations are available on January 5 for all arrival dates (April 13–October 27); these remain available until all are taken. The other option is to make one 7 days in advance (e.g., make a reservation for an arrival date of October 6 on September 29). Reservations are not available at entrance stations. You can check Recreation.gov before you arrive to the park to see if any reservations have become available due to cancellation. You must have one reservation per vehicle. This is a new system so please let us know if you have any questions, we are happy to help. You can read more information on the NPS website: https://www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/reservations.htm For the reservation system, please visit: https://www.recreation.gov/timed-entry/10086745
