Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! Both locations have parking lots. For the ceremony, we do recommend carpooling, as the church parking lot itself is smaller. Guests may need to find downtown parking if the spots fill (there is free street parking within a few blocks). The reception venue has plenty of parking and also allows for cars to stay overnight if need be. Additionally, if you booked a room at the Holiday Inn through our block you can use the shuttle service to and from the reception. We want everyone to be safe getting back to hotels!

Is the reception directly after the ceremony?

Answer

The reception will not begin immediately. The ceremony should wrap up around 3:30 PM, and cocktail hour will begin at 5:30 PM. We recommend any of our guests staying in hotels check in to their rooms during this break. Those staying in our hotel block will then be able to board a bus to the reception at the hotel. You are welcome to come to St. Andrew's earlier than 5:30 PM to look around the venue or grab something at the restaurant there, but official programming with hors d'oeuvres and the open bar will begin at 5:30 PM.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have one hotel block at the Holiday Inn in Carol Stream (see Travel tab). We recommend booking early so that we can work to arrange enough rooms for all guests who'd like one. You will need to book by July 11th to guarantee the block rate, but there is a chance rooms run out before then. There are also plenty of other great hotels nearby if you prefer to book somewhere else.

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the reception?

Answer

Yes, there will be a shuttle to and from the reception for people who booked using our block rate at the Holiday Inn.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire: - A suit or a dress shirt with a tie, or - A floor-, midi-, or knee-length dress or dressy separates are all welcome.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to the space at the venues, we can only accommodate guests that are listed on the invites. If you require a caretaker or driver to attend, please let us know ahead of time. Thank you for understanding!

Will kids be invited to the reception?

Answer

Unless specifically listed on the invite, we are not able to accommodate younger guests. Kids may attend the ceremony, but we are unable to have them attend the reception.
