I met my amazing matron of honor through Evan, and from the very beginning, we clicked instantly. We have bonded over book clubs, staying up with the latest drama, crafting, both going to school to be PTA’s and both navigating our snacking/meal options. But whether we're talking for hours, avoiding gluten, or corn, to reading the latest book club pick, time always flies when we’re together.
Owen DeYoung
Best Man
Owen and I first crossed paths back in elementary school, though he was a year ahead of me, so we didn’t really know each other at the time. But in high school, we reconnected through baseball—I was the pitcher, he was my catcher, and we made a pretty solid team. After high school, we ended up living together for a couple of years, which only made our bond stronger. Now we work together on side projects, tackling cool jobs and making memories every step of the way. It’s been an absolute blast with this guy, and I’m lucky to have him by my side.

I’ve known this amazing woman since we were kids, and some of my favorite memories are the ones we made growing up together—especially all the laughs (and chaos) we shared working at the Platte County Fair. Whether we were sweating through the summer heat, wrangling animals OR drunks (If you know, you know), or running on zero sleep, people watching and too much fair food, we always had each other’s backs. Those years were full of hard work, but even more laughter, and I’m so grateful we got to grow up side by side.

I met this guy through a mix of good timing and pure luck, but we definitely bonded over fishing and yard games later on. We became fast friends, and eventually ended up living together for a while. Then, we started working together, which just made our bond stronger. Between those crazy long nights, catching big catfish, and making sure we were never thirsty, we've shared some of the best memories together. He's been one of my closest buddies through it all.

We met for the first time at a bonfire, and within five minutes I was already thinking, “Okay, I really hope she sticks around.” Spoiler: she did — and thank god. She is the kind of person who makes every family gathering more fun. I’m so excited she’s not just in the wedding, but officially becoming family — and honestly, I might be more excited about gaining her than my cousin is.

Dylan is Taylor’s cousin, so naturally, once she and I got together, I got to know him too. He’s one of the kindest, most genuine guys you’ll meet — always fun to be around and always ready to help with anything. We’ve shared some great memories at the county fair and during family holidays and get-togethers. Dylan’s the kind of guy who shows up, pitches in, and makes everything better just by being there.

From our very first Royals game to family dinners and river shenanigans (vodka? what vodka?), you’ve made me feel like part of the family from the start. I’m so excited to officially call you family—though it already feels like you’ve been my sister all along!

I met Jeff through my sister — who’s now my brother-in-law — and he’s been part of the crew ever since. Whether it’s float trips, family gatherings, or just an after-work beer, Jeff brings the good vibes every time. He’s the kind of guy who would give you the shirt off his back, and he’s just an all-around great dude.

You are one of the most organized and outgoing people I’ve met and aspire to be as quirky as you! We have had so many fun adventures and I am so grateful for having you in my life! Damon is one of those rare friends who’s always just a phone call away. I met him through Jonny and his family, and since then, we’ve shared a ton of good times — whether we’re working together, hanging out, fishing, or hunting. He’s a solid guy through and through, and I’m lucky to have him in my corner.

She’s the cousin who can have everyone laughing one minute and feeling deeply loved the next. Sachary and I grew up together, always at school and hanging out afterward. We’d play football with the big kids, ride bikes around town, and when we got older, we even tried to do the whole college thing together. Let’s just say we quickly learned that college wasn’t for us—haha! We decided to take our own path and do what we actually wanted to do. To this day, every time we’re together, we have an awesome time and continue making new memories.

I first met Habe while shooting trap, he would shoot with me on the same squad, as well as shooting with his kids and the kids he coached — and let’s just say, his aim isn’t the only thing on point. His love for God and the way he leads others with kindness and humor have made a big impact, and we’re so honored that he’s here to help us start this next chapter
