We met virtually in 2024, matching on Hinge on Thanksgiving Day. At the time, I was still finishing up my residency in Houston and Dylan was living and working in Atlanta. On Thanksgiving, Dylan jokingly teased me for eating pumpkin pie rather than sweet potato pie. That moment quickly created Dylan's new nickname for me, "Pumpkin Pie," and this became an inside joke between the two of us. Soon after, we began sending voice notes. From the very first time we heard each other's voices, we both felt something special. What started as voice notes and texts quickly became long phone calls that often lasted four to six hours a day! We very quickly discovered how naturally our connection flowed. Not long after, Dylan flew me to Atlanta for an unforgettable first date. He surprised me with many thoughtful gifts based on the things he'd learned I liked. That day was as intentional as it was unforgettable; it really set a wonderful foundation for our relationship. From that moment on, our connection continued to strengthen as we took trips together and spent time together in our respective cities. Through our deep conversations and shared values, it became clear that we were building something rooted in faith, purpose and a shared vision for the future! Both of us prayed about our relationship and we feel strongly that our marriage is an answered prayer. We are so excited to spend the rest of our lives together!
