We are so grateful for the many happy incidents and amazing friends that led us to each other. It's hard to pinpoint the beginning, but Claire would say it was her stubborn father's belief that she should absolutely attend Cal Poly and Taylor's love for the magnificent Cal Poly rec center that started it all! Claire was lucky to fall into the hands of her sorority which led her to two amazing women, Kara and Elaina, who were dormed up with what felt like Taylor's entire fraternity. Claire became fast friends with all the amazing TKE men she met her Freshman year, all the while hearing of this "hot TKE guy" named Taylor. We wouldn't meet for months and months later, at his house, where we both absolutely did not acknowledge each other! Hey, it's not always love at first sight. But on second sight, Claire was done for and Taylor had no idea the life he was in for! Kara and Claire would make up every excuse under the sun to visit Taylor's house - including laundry, tutoring, computer help, and even baking! By the close of 1st quarter of Sophomore year, Claire told Taylor "we are either all in or all out" - so, one awkward sushi first date later and we were flying through the next six years! Alongside the best group of friends, who've become family, we danced, played, and laughed our way through three years of college. We landed ourselves in Walnut Creek and Oakland for our first year of "real life", where we took full advantage of the amazing music and beer scene. We attended so many fun concerts, our moves haven't looked that great since! Our hearts continued to thrive in the mountains and on adventures, when we were given the opportunity to move to Reno it took all of a few days to decide this was the adventure we needed. Taylor found us a house that quickly became our home and 2 weeks into the move, Claire placed a deposit for a pup who has changed our lives forever.
