How we met

The green mile

We met at the University of Miami in the fall/winter of 2015. Our offices were next to each other, he noticed me in August soon after arriving at Miami but I didn't notice him until months later and when I did, I intentionally began to strut the green mile in the Athletics building hoping to run into him. After months of awkward hi's in the hallway he finally asked me for my phone number at a bar after a long national signing day. I beat him shamelessly at many rounds of connect four that night. Finally on Cinco de Mayo, we planned to meet in Brickell for the first time outside of work, a few tequilas later we were together, I forget the rest.

How he proposed

The Keys

On December 22nd, a day after my parent's celebrated their wedding anniversary, we took a trip with my family to Islamorada. We went to a brewery, had lunch by the water and went to a beach to catch the sunset. It was a cloudy, windy day, the kind of day that doesn't have much of a sunset. He was more nervous than usual, and my family was acting strange, I had a feeling. I saw him get out of the car and put a small box in his pocket. Walking the boardwalk with him I teased him by lowering my hand further down his hip knowing that he was hiding something in his back pocket. We posed for a photo by the water, Jules yelled "look a dolphin." That was his cue, he asked, I sobbed, and we decided on forever.
