Carter and I both took a shot at Tinder, hoping for the best and we ended up finding each other! Our first date was June 24, 2019 and he officially asked me to be his girlfriend on September 14, 2019. He did share, several months into our relationship, that I was the most intimidating woman that he had ever been on a date with.... which I'm sure had nothing to do with the 5,489 questions I asked within the first hour. I also disclosed VERY sarcastically that I had several different personalities. Well, then I started to rattle their names off; which I guess was very convincing. He laughed at the time, but then told me later on that he was scared that I had a personality disorder, and that I fit the "typical redhead" stereotype. But as the night went on, it felt like we had known each other our entire lives. It was so easy to talk to one another... and for those of you that know Carter, know that he is the sweetest, most kind, & genuine man out there. It was easy to fall for him. By our third date, I was dying to know where we were headed, so I asked, straightforward as ever, "So, where is this going? What are your intentions here? Like are we dating, not dating?" He replied, "Well if you would have just waited until this evening, or even until we finished eating lunch, I was going to ask you to be my girlfriend..." And this is what started our love story. September 14, 2019 I became Carter Burton's girlfriend. Fast forward about a year, and we bought a house! Yes, we were and still are crazy. We wanted to start our lives with one another as soon as possible. On our way home from closing, our realtor told Carter that there was a dead mouse in our house and that he needed to remove it before I could go inside. I'm waiting not so patiently, thinking what kind of house did we just buy if there was already dead mouse. Finally, our realtor gives me the okay to go inside....So much for the cute "couple entering their new home" photo. I enter the house and immediately see flowers and a trail of rose petals. Carter was waiting on one knee to ask me to marry him. On November 17, 2020 I became Carter's Fiance. Safe to say there was never a mouse.
