Yes! Passports are required, so if you don't already have one PLEASE start the process early!
• Pack light! The weather will be in the low 70’s-high 80’s while you will be on island with a chance of rain every day. The nights can be a little cooler with a breeze. You shouldn’t need anything more than a long sleeve or light sweatshirt to stay warm. • SUNSCREEN is a must have along with hats/sunglasses to keep the sun at bay (keep in mind that the UV index is much higher here as well). It’s available on island but pricier than it is back in the states. If you have fair skin bring some aloe as well! • Beach towels/swim wear would also be another great item to bring! We recommend also bringing a pair of shoes just for the beach. The sand can be sticky and will be hard to get off at times and most of the beaches don’t have water taps to rinse off your feet. • Bring cash for most transactions as it will speed up the process for paying for things (cabs/foot/etc.). Most places do take credit cards (usually not Discover or MasterCard), and US cash (only in smaller bills). You will be able pull out EC from ATMs on island as well.
We ask that you please wear tropical style clothing to match the island wedding theme. We don't want the event to be overly formal, but we would appreciate it if guests did not wear casual clothes. For women we recommend dresses or rompers with patterns or bright colors. For men we recommend khaki pants and button down tropical shirts. Short sleeved shirts are perfectly acceptable, but we ask that you please refrain from wearing shorts. Open toed shoes are acceptable for all guests.
Yes! We have attached a link to the form. If you are traveling in a couple/family, you can fill out one for everyone. Just make sure that you save the barcode that gets emailed to you so you can present it in customs at the airport. If you don't fill it out before you travel, they will just have you do it when you get to the St. Kitts airport. https://www.knatravelform.kn/
Do not expect much from the airport once you land. The plane will not be parked right next to the terminal and you're going to walk what feels like a half mile to the terminal on the tarmac. It will most likely be hot and sunny so please dress accordingly for the weather! Your phones will more than likely not have great service while on island, but almost every place you go to will have free WIFI you will be able to join. We recommend downloading “WhatsApp” for communication that way you will be able to use your phones without racking up a huge service bill. Almost every cab drive on island will use WhatsApp to get in contact with you. Any cab ride will be somewhat inexpensive depending on how far you travel (roughly between $20-$40 USD).
Street addresses aren't commonly used on island, but don't worry! If you tell a cab driver where you are looking to go it's very likely they can get you there! We also recommend utilizing Google Maps over Apple Maps when you are visiting! The roads on Google Maps are more updated/accurate.
Yes! Unfortunately, UberEats is not used on island, but there is a very similar service called "869 To Go" that you can use to have food delivered to you! https://869togo.com/
• Do NOT take pictures with the guys holding the baby monkeys! • Do Not mess with monkeys at all! • Do NOT find yourself after dark alone in Basseterre! • Do NOT pet stray animals whatsoever no matter how cute they are!
