Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Taylor Harp and Aaron McCusker
Breckenridge is a fantastic place to spend a weekend! Here are our favorite places to get coffee or dinner, or go for a hike!

Breckenridge Distillery Restaurant

1925 Airport Road, Breckenridge, CO 80424
, (970) 547-9759

This is Taylor and Aaron’s favorite restaurant in town! Breckenridge Bourbon is Aaron’s favorite, but their Gin is also award-winning! There are tours of the distillery throughout the day which are always fun and include some tastings (make reservations!). If you can’t make it there for dinner or to a tour, there’s a Tasting Room off of Mainstreet where you can try a few of their products for free!

Michael's Italian Restaurant

326 South Main Street, Breckenridge, CO 80424
, (970) 453-5800

Michael’s is some of the best food walking distance from Mainstreet! During peak season, you’ll find Michael running food and making sure everything goes smoothly. There’s something for everyone on their homestyle Italian menu. Taylor claims that they make the best Baked Ziti she’s ever had, while Aaron always goes for the Chicken Parmesan. And of course, they always end up eating more than one basket of the garlic bread!

Downstairs At Eric's

111 South Main Street, Breckenridge, CO 80424
, (970) 453-1401

This is a fantastic place to bring the kids! It has more to offer than the pizza and wings it’s known for. Downstairs at Eric’s has arcade games, including 2 ski ball machines which have been used countless times for some Harp Family competitions!

Mountain View Coffee

222 South Main Street, Breckenridge, CO 80424

The morning hours offer the most magical time on Mainstreet. The weather is cooler, the sun is coming up, and the crowds are still in bed. Aaron and Taylor love to swing by to get a homemade cinnamon roll and cappuccinos to take on a walk along the creek behind Mainstreet, maybe to stop at a park bench and enjoy the quiet atmosphere.

La Francaise

411 South Main Street, Breckenridge, CO 80424
, (970) 547-7173

A delightful French bakery at the top of Main Street! We recommend trying the goat cheese and asparagus quiche and a chocolate croissant, of course!

Breckenridge Brewery & Pub

600 South Main Street, Breckenridge, CO 80424
, (970) 453-1550

The Breckenridge Brewery has become very popular in Colorado and beyond, and it all started at this small location at the top of Mainstreet. This is where some of the most iconic Colorado Craft Beers were created, including the Avalanche Amber Ale. The beer isn’t the only reason to visit, though! Breck Brewery has some of the best food in town and is constantly updating their menu. Taylor and Aaron enjoy going for burgers and beers. Aaron orders an Agave Wheat while Taylor recommends the Vanilla Porter.

Sawmill Reservoir Hike- Easy

655 4 O'Clock Rd, Breckenridge, CO 80424

This is a fantastic hike for anyone! It’s an easygoing 1.4 mile loop with only 232 feet of elevation gain (it’s fairly flat). The trail is through the woods, so hikers are shaded for most of the hike. The trail runs next to and across and beautiful creek, leading to the breathtaking Sawmill reservoir. The entrance to the trail is next to the Snowflake ski lift off of 4 O’Clock Road. The entire trail can be seen on google maps. To find it, try putting this address into google maps, and it should be right nextdoor: 655 4 O'Clock Rd, Breckenridge, CO 80424

North Tenmile Creek Trail Hike- Moderate

400 West Main Street, Frisco, CO 80443

This trail is stunning! It’s a 6.5 mile out-and-back with 889 feet of elevation gain. Because it’s an out-and-back, it’s still a great option for anyone who might not want a full 6.5 miles of hiking. The address listed will take you to the parking lot at the trailhead.

Mount Royal Hike- Difficult

450 W Main St, Frisco, CO 80443

This trail is a 3.9 mile out-and-back with 1,374 feet of elevation gain, which offers beautiful views at the top. Note: Aaron and Taylor consider this to be a more difficult hike! Check out the other suggested hikes for some easier options. Driving directions: Directions from Silverthorne: Take I-70 west to the second Frisco exit, Exit #201, turn east towards the town of Frisco. After crossing the I-70 interchange, take an immediate right into the public parking lot. Walk over the footbridge, turn left onto the paved bike path. Hike 0.5 miles on the bike path to the Mt. Royal trail sign. If you put this address into Google Maps, it will show you the location of the trailhead itself, which you must walk to from the parking lot: 169-171 Temple Trail, Frisco, CO 80443. You can also put “Kayak Overnights Parking Lot” Into google maps and it should take you to the parking lot.

Lake Dillon Marina

150 Marina Drive PO Box 1825, Dillon, CO 80435
, 970-468-5100

Lake Dillon is gorgeous (it's where we took our engagement photos!) and a great place to spend a day on the water. The Dillon Marina rents boats, SUPs, Kayaks, and more!

Dillon Farmers Market

If you're in Summit County on the morning of the big day, the Dillon Farmer's Market is every Friday morning and is definitely worth a trip!
