After almost five years of dating, Nicholas popped the question on March 22, 2025 at Garrapata State Park, one of the couple's favorite destinations along the Big Sur coast in California. He planned an excursion for Lauren that included a picnic lunch, a stroll around Lover's Point, and sunset viewing on the beach followed by a nice dinner at The Pocket in Carmel. Nicholas worked with local jewelers to customize Lauren's engagement ring using his Grandmother's original wedding band from October 1958.
