The coast has played an important role in Cam and Tay's love story. They met while Cam was living in sunny San Diego and Tay was living just up the 5 freeway in serene San Clemente (thanks Hinge!). Tay grew up in the Southbay in Southern California and was a regular at the beach, while Cam grew up near a different body of water....with Lake Michigan practically in his backyard. Their first vacation together was in Oahu, Hawaii, and their first road trip vacation was driving up the California coast to the Big Sur, Monterey, and Pebble Beach area in Northern California. Tay's Greek heritage and Cam's Dutch heritage are both coastal regions. Cam is currently an active duty Navy pilot, which stations him typically next to a body of water (go figure!). They currently live in Dana Point, CA and are blessed to wake up to the sound of waves and look out of their windows to a clear view of the Pacific Ocean. All of that to say, it was only fitting that they had their wedding in Carlsbad, CA... halfway between San Clemente and San Diego where their guests can enjoy the coastal beauty just as much as they do.
