The ceremony will be at the Crescent Meadow trailhead in the Sequoia National Park on October 14, 2025 at 2:30. See "schedule" tab for more detailed information on the week.
Yes, but keep in mind there is a short 5-10 minute walk into the Crescent Meadow on unpaved ground. We will do our best to accommodate all guests. Please come prepared for this.
Think forest-friendly elegance. Comfortable shoes (the ground is unpaved), layers for changing mountain weather, and semi-formal attire that fits the outdoor setting.
Please meet at the Foothills Visitor Center right inside the entrance to the park at 1:10 PROMPT. We will caravan into the park together to the ceremony location. Please be on time and prepared.
October in Sequoia National Park can range from 60-70 during the day to 40s at night. Be prepared for cooler evenings and dress in layers.
Yes. All guests will need a Sequoia National Park entrance pass per vehicle. The pass is $30 and is good for the day of purchase as well as following day. So if you choose to join us for the park exploration on Monday, you pass will work for entry on Tuesday for the ceremony.
Guests will be responsible for their own transportation into the park and to lodging, reception, etc. Carpooling is highly encouraged! There is parking right at the entrance to the Crescent Meadow where the ceremony will be held.
The bride and groom will be going for a private photo session with photographer following the ceremony. We recommend enjoying your time in the park. Visit the Giant Forest Museum near the ceremony location. Check out Beetle Rock, it is a beautiful landscape view of the park and a short walk from the parking lot, again, right near the ceremony location. Tunnel log is also a very cool site to see near the ceremony location. It is a giant Sequoia tree that fell and blocked the road and instead of trying to move it, a tunnel was cut into the tree and you can drive through it, a very cool site to see. The bride and groom will be meeting at the Waksachi Lodge in the park around 4:30 for celebratory drinks. We recommend starting your drive back down the mountain 6:00 to get to the Gateway Restaurant and Lodge at 7 for the reception.
On Monday October 13th, we'll be hosting a group park exploration where guests can join us for a relaxed yet thrilling day discovering Sequoia's most iconic spots. Expect casual hikes, scenic photo opportunities, and a picnic lunch.

Picnic style lunch in National Park on Monday October 13th during park exploration. Lunch and snacks will not be provided and is your own responsibility. There is a restaurant and patio bar at the Waksachi Lodge in the park but we recommend packing your lunch and snacks. Dinner, 2 beverages and dessert will be provided at the reception on Tuesday October 14th. Three Rivers, the town at the entrance to the park where the reception is located has restaurants and markets for all other meals.
It is a very winding road steadily gaining elevation. PLEASE drive slow and safe, we are in no rush to speed up the mountain. The entire drive is absolutely breathtaking. Drive safe and slow and enjoy the views.
No problem. "Among the Giants" is designed with all activity levels in mind. There will be easy, scenic walks and benches to enjoy all views. Even if you choose to not do a hike others are doing, the views from the road are stunning no matter where you are in the park.
Yes, we'll provide suggested trails and group activities, but you're welcome to explore at your own pace as well. We will be following the Shaka Guide for the Sequoia National park and we highly suggest everyone download this app and purchase the $12 Sequoia tour guide. It is a GPS that does not require service and guides you through the entire park and recommends trails and sites to see.
Service in the Sequoias is VERY limited and is not to be relied on. Consider this your opportunity to unplug with us. Download maps or directions in advance. We HIGHLY recommend downloading the app SHAKA GUIDE and purchasing the $12 map and park guide. It does not require wifi or service and is a gps guide that leads you through the park and gives you history and facts about the park as you are driving through it. It is such a wonderful way to explore the park and learn all about it as we drive through the beautiful foothills and towering Sequoias. It is well worth the $12.
We recommend staying in Three Rivers. This is the town right at the entrance to the park and has lots of lodging options from hotels, motels, air bnb, VRBO, cabins. The bride and groom will be staying in a house in Three Rivers just minutes from the park entrance. There are plenty of options as well as restaurants and markets nearby for food and drinks and supplies.
Please, please, PLEASE respect the land and leave no trace. Our National Parks are treasures and must be treated with respect and love. Please follow all trails and posted rules and respect any and all wildlife you may see. Dispose of all garbage in provided trash receptacles or pack out what you pack in. This is a nature wedding, please come with an open mind and flexibility. Anything is permitted to change or evolve as the day goes on. We plan to do our best to stick to the itinerary but when in nature, anything can happen so please be prepared to go with the flow. Take this time to be present and connect with nature and yourself. Allow yourself to unplug from your devices and open your heart to the magic of the ancient Sequoias. The more adaptable you are, the better your experience will be. We are absolutely thrilled to celebrate with our closest friends and family and are counting down the days!!!!
