We’re so excited to be celebrating with you! We know what saying ‘yes’ to a weekend away asks of you, and we’re grateful. When we were dreaming about this weekend, we knew how we wanted you to feel on Sunday: like the bittersweet end of summer camp, where you left exhilarated and maybe a little tired, but with new friends and memories. San Miguel de Allende is the perfect backdrop for our summer camp dream with its Parroquia bells, cobblestone streets, and dahlias spilling out of doorways everywhere you turn. Our weekend together will be intentional, intimate, and generous: a small gathering of the people we love most, shaped with care. We kept the guest list short on purpose. If you received an invitation, it's because we couldn't imagine starting this next chapter without you, and you have an important part to play in our wedding. That also means we're after something different from a typical wedding. The role we're asking you to play is storyteller. Your job is to help us connect the people who would otherwise never meet: grandparents talking to college friends, friends talking to uncles, old roommates trading stories with cousins. The currency you'll trade is the kind of small, true story only you can tell about one or both of us. So before you come, two small things, and together they make up the biggest rule of the weekend: 1. Prepare a favorite story about one or both of us. Ideally, one safe for family and one that'll make your friends laugh 2. Bring a photo or two to go with them Plan on sharing them.
