Question

Where are you getting married?

Answer

Loloma Lodge is a simple and rustic-chic historic lodge nestled in the woods above the McKenzie River. The welcome dinner, ceremony, and reception will take place on the lodge grounds, alongside the river.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We hope our wedding is a fun excuse for you to wear your favorite semi-formal attire but most importantly we want everyone to be comfortable :) we're going to be in the cascades in mid-May, temps range from 50-72 so we're crossing our fingers for nice weather but also be prepared for rain because it's Oregon. Everything will be held outdoors, rain or shine! We recommend packing an umbrella, just in case! When coming up with what to wear dress so you feel cute/cool. Think bright colors, floral prints, fun cocktail dresses (dresses have zero length requirement), button-downs, slacks, blazers, bolo ties, even full suits if you want! It is in the forest so keep that in mind for footwear (ladies block heels and wedges would work, I do not recommend any thin/spiky heels). Taylor, James, and their wedding party will be wearing more traditional clothing!

Question

What should I bring?

Answer

There are a couple of small general/convenience stores nearby (McKenzie General Store & Blue Sky Market) but they are far from full-sized grocery stores. We recommend stocking up on beverages/snacks/supplies/anything you need for your cabin/Airbnb in Portland, Bend, or Eugene as you pass through. We'll have plenty of food and libations for the planned events (welcome dinner and reception) but if you want any extra reserves, please bring some! All the cabins at Loloma Lodge have full kitchens and full-size fridges/freezers. As mentioned, all events will take place outside rain or shine so we also recommend packing an umbrella!

Question

Are their places to eat in McKenzie Bridge?

Answer

There are a couple of places to grab a bite to eat but options in McKenzie bridge are limited (it’s a very small town) which is why we also recommend stocking up things you need for your cabin/Airbnb in Portland, Bend, or Eugene before you get to town. We recommend Takoda's or the McKenzie General Store (American food) if you want to go out, both are within 5 minutes of Loloma.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

YES! We're having a welcome Lo-Lo-Loooooma Luau on Friday, May 20th that everyone is invited to. More details on that are under the "Wedding Weekend Schedule" tab. We also organized a river rafting outing for anyone interested/around on Friday morning. If you're around and want to come you can sign up here: https://www.adventurecentral.com/user/web/m/wfCalendar.aspx?AID=24957&SELDT=5/20/2022&CLUID=1fece327-be86-478a-9f41-b90fa9e06e62

Question

Is there good cell reception/wifi?

Answer

The wifi and cell service in the area is very poor. The best spot to get service is near the main lodge at Loloma but don’t count on it. Download your things beforehand and enjoy the excuse to get disconnected for the weekend.

Question

Do you have hotel blocks or accommodation recommendations?

Answer

We have reserved the cabins at Loloma Lodge for the wedding party only. There are plenty of cabins/Airbnbs to rent in the area, check out the 'Travel & Accommodations' tab for recommendations. We highly recommend booking your accommodations ASAP because McKenzie Bridge is a super popular tourist destination with repeat visitors returning every Spring/Summer and booking far in advance.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a limited guest list in order to keep our wedding on the smaller, intimate side. It is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Our wedding is going to be an adults-only event to keep our wedding on the smaller, intimate side. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so everyone can relax and celebrate.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Sooner is always better but please RSVP no later than April 1, 2022 :)

Question

Will there be any special diet options?

Answer

We are having tacos and will be able to accommodate vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free diets. If you have limitations outside of this please let us know ASAP!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the ceremony?

Answer

No, guests are responsible for transportation to/from Loloma. Please reach out to Taylor & James if you would like them to get you in touch with a shuttle or taxi provider.

Question

Is there parking available at the wedding venue?

Answer

Absolutely!! If you want to drive to and from the ceremony/reception there is plenty of parking on the Loloma property.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 5:00pm sharp, so make sure you're at Loloma no later than 4:45pm. We also have the entire property reserved all weekend so feel free to come over and hang out beforehand too, we'd love to see you!
