Jaz and I met the first day of law school at orientation and it has been history ever since. We grew our relationship studying and being each other's accountability partner during law school. I would say I was like her Philly mom, always looking out for her and making sure she was good. Typically, where you could Jaz in the law library you could also find me. During law school we served on boards together and traveled to many conferences. Since law school we have maintained our friendship, as Jaz loves to frequent Philadelphia. This is her home away from home. When I found out she got engaged, I was so excited for Jaz and Tay. He keeps her smiling and makes her happy like I have never seen her before. They complete each other and I am honored to be a part of their special day.

"Jaz and I met in law school, well we met on a boat ride pre-orientation. I always remember she was the first one up whenever the music started. I’m thinking “ok this chic going to be cool!” Although we spent countless hours toiling away with our books in the library, we always made time to head down to AC for a bday or girls’ night out (many of which turned into Jaz being my personal nurse because I had too much fun🤢😅). I’m so glad we continued to keep in touch and I am proud to be a part of this wonderful day! Love you Jaz!"

"The year was February of 2015..... it was cold and Missouri. So you know it was s***. We arrived at Fort Lennard Wood with high hopes and charisma. But that was smashed when we arrived to echo company 2-10. My boy was in 4th platoon and I was in 2nd platoon. It was hell. We made it through that hell with out souls intact, but slightly broken. AIT 2015! Da daaaa. Phase 1 of charlie school we were in our finest shape and we studied our asses off, we made it. Phase 2, a whole other situation. Man they threw information at us left and right. It got crazy to the point where we stayed up all night drinking and then went to PT in the morning still drunk. We were legends. Thus the brotherhood began and our broness grew."

Jazamine and I met in 2000, in the 7th grade in Baumholder, Germany. We were instant best friends and were inseparable. After all, both of us had the nickname of Jaz, so how could we not be besties? Even after our lives moved towards different paths as we blossomed into womanhood, our friendship remained strong. We, friends, now sisters, have been there for one another through all of life's obstacles and biggest moments.
