We actually met online. We talked for about a month online before meeting up for a first date. Tay promised me tickets to the African American History Museum which were hard to come by at the time. He said he had an inside connection. The day of the date came and Tay could not get the tickets. Strike One. He also showed up in some very wrinkled khakis. Strike Two. Right as I was ready to call it a wrap, we started talking. We walked through some of the other museums but I can't remember what we saw just that we talked for a long time, like we had known each other forever. We went our separate ways that day and I still wasn't sure if he was getting a second date. Then that night he called me. He told me how he had slept over three hours in his car after our date. I asked why and he said he had been called into overnight duty the night before and had not had a chance to sleep at all in the last 24 hours. He did not want to cancel our date so as soon as he got off duty, he threw his clothes in his car so he could change on the way to meet me. That's why his pants were so wrinkled. The date last longer than he expected but he did not want to end it so he only had time to take a nap in his car before reporting back to duty. He actually ended up oversleeping and got in trouble when he got back to base. After hearing all this and all that he went through just to hang out with me, I knew I had to at least give him a second date and we have been second dating ever since....We also made it to the African American Museum twice since then.
