I used to attend Two Stepping Dance Class at LaFortune Park Community Center religiously - every Tuesday Night. I stopped going for a couple of years and albeit, that's somehow when Josh started attending. I came back for the first time in October of 2025. When I opened the door and walked inside - I vividly remember seeing Josh. He did NOT see me that first night, but I remember thinking he looked very handsome. ;) From October - March, we would randomly dance together at different times or different classes. He was a goofy guy who couldn't believe I was just a mid-west gal from Kansas. But he always made me laugh. Then, on March 28th, I finally decided to go out dancing on a Friday night with the crew of folks from Dance Class. I walked into Boots and Diamonds that night and I swear there was a spotlight shining on Josh as he turned around and saw me walking in. Our eyes locked and... he never took them off me that whole night. He asked me to dance several times, he asked me thoughtful questions, and he genuinely wanted to know more about me. I could tell he was locked in. I wasn't completely sure about him though... not until he told me that when he lived in California he went to a church called "The Vineyard" and had I ever heard of a church called that? My jaw dropped because that was the very kind of church I had grown up in, in Kansas. Something clicked in that moment. We spent the rest of the night talking only to each other. He walked me out to my car, asked for my number, and well... the rest is history! We've both recently shared with each other, that when we both left that night... we both wondered if we had just met our person. :D
