Emily
Matron of Honor
Emily AKA Fet, was Katie's neighbor since the Tautkus family moved to Ellington in '99. Emily's mother made her go say hello and they have been friends ever since. Their friendship continued on the cross country and track teams in middle and high school. Emily has been impatiently waiting for this wedding practically since the day Katie and Mike met and Katie could not be happier to have Emily sharing this long awaited moment as her Matron of Honor.
Sam
Best Man
Sam and Mike have been friends forever. They grew up playing soccer, going on summer vacations with their families and always hanging out after school or on the weekends. Sam is a pilot in the army and is stationed down south but even though he has moved out of Connecticut, they are still best friends and always make time to see each other. Sam is the brother he never had.
Jenny
Maid of Honor
Jenny is Katie's younger sister and her Maid of Honor. As can be expected of sisters, she and Katie did not always get along. But, over time, they became extremely close, bonding over an unhealthy obsession with the Jonas Brothers and food court chinese food. Jenny can find the good in everything and always has a smile on her face! At the wedding, you'll undoubtedly find her on the dance floor doing one of her many unique moves.
Dan
Groomsman
Dan and Mike also met working at Travelers, taking first notice of loss calls all day. They became friends outside of work through many happy hours, weekend hangouts, hiking with the dogs, and backyard fires. Nick, Dan and Mike currently work in the same building and see each other almost everyday for breaks or lunch.
Jennifer
Bridesmaid
Jennifer and Katie also met on the cross country team in middle school. They lived only 5 minutes from each other and would often meet up to go running in each other’s neighborhoods or just to hang out. Jennifer has always been the fun-loving adventurous one of the group, which has resulted in countless strange and usually hilarious memories. No matter what they are doing, it is always a good time and Katie can’t wait to celebrate with Jennifer as her bridesmaid.
Nick
Groomsman
Nick and Mike met 5 years ago at Travelers, working in the first notice of loss call center. Nick and Mike forged their friendship going to Phish shows, Dave Matthews Band shows, playing guitar, and just hanging out watching sports.
Molly
Bridesmaid
Like several of the other bridesmaids, Molly and Katie became friends through cross country. They met on the middle school team and that continued to high school where they were Captains together senior year. Molly is one of the sweetest, most thoughtful people Katie has ever met and she feels incredibly lucky to have Molly standing by her side at her wedding.
Matt
Groomsman
Matt grew up in the same neighborhood as Mike and they would always hang out after school riding bikes, playing guns, football and video games. They even became roommates at one point at Matt’s first condo in Enfield. Even though they aren’t roommates anymore they still live 10 minutes away from each other.
Amy
Bridesmaid
Amy and Katie have been friends for the longest, over 23 years! They met when Katie moved to Windsor in 2nd grade. Even though she was only there for three years, they remained close, insisting on monthly sleepovers throughout most of their younger years. Amy can be credited for introducing the happy couple since she invited Katie to come with her to the party where they met. Props to her!
Jason
Groomsman
Jason and Mike started hanging out after Mike and Katie started dating; Jason is Katie's brother after-all. They both enjoy playing golf together, corn hole games at the farm, and having in depth discussions about Game of Thrones.
Erin
Bridesmaid
Erin is Mike's younger sister and is a teacher in Maryland, which is where she went to college. Due to the distance, they all have not spent much time together but Erin and Katie have gotten to know each other over the years on holidays and at the occasional wedding, which are always a great time! Katie is honored to have her as part of their big days as not only a bridesmaid but as her future sister-in-law.
