Mike and Katie met at a mutual friend's 4th of July party. As everyone was sitting around the fire, Katie told Mike he had really amazing teeth! Thankfully, Mike overlooked that momentary lack of social skills and asked her out anyway and they have been together ever since.

Mike proposed at Case Mountain where they had their first "official" date. Under the pretense of taking a new profile picture, he got down on one knee with their dog, Judge. After the picture was taken, he suddenly pulled out the ring and asked her to marry him! Katie was so surprised, she was speechless (which is a small miracle in itself)! After the shock wore off and she was assured that it was not a prank, she said "Yes!".
