Tatyana and Rebecca initially crossed paths when they were paired as roommates at the University of Texas at Austin dorms, only to find out that their families live a mile away from each other back in Sugar Land! Rebecca is not only an incredible friend, but also a talented baker--one of Tatyana's favorite and most delicious memories was modeling (and devouring) cupcakes for Rebecca's cupcake business. Throughout their college years, they remained inseparable and continued their path together into medical school in Houston. Now, as matron of honor, Rebecca stands by Tatyana's side, a testament to their enduring friendship and shared journey.

Originally from Tyler, TX, Hanna met Tatyana in Austin where they were both enrolled in the same pre-med program alongside Rebecca. Hanna, Rebecca, and Tatyana all became roommates, and even now have remained each other's constants. Hanna is known for her beautiful soul, her optimism, and her love of life. Hanna and Tatyana have had many adventures together, from cruise vacations and music festivals to hosting the most legendary themed parties on the block. It's only fitting that Hanna will join as a bridesmaid on one of Tatyana's greatest adventures.

Ceren and Tatyana were roommates in Houston, where they conquered medical school one Turkish tea study session at a time, and later both moved to New York for their residency training. Their bond deepened even further in New York, where they cherished moments of respite amidst the chaos of residency, from walks in Central Park to swims at Ceren's lakehouse. Ceren's loyalty, support, and nurturing spirit have been a constant source of strength for Tatyana, and Tatyana is blessed to have a friend and bridesmaid like her.

Tatyana was warmly welcomed into the Martin family when she met Julie, Joseph's sister, at the 2018 Christmas get-together in Alexandria, Louisiana. Tatyana immediately noticed Julie's kindness and love of animals which she also shares. After many holidays from Easter to Christmas celebrated in living rooms and hotel lobbies all over the country, Julie and Tatyana have bonded over experiences of wedding planning and their love for Taylor Swift's music. As Tatyana prepares to marry Joseph, she not only gains a life partner but also a new sister in Julie.
Jerry Jewell
Best Man
Jerry was Joseph’s chosen room mate throughout the final three years of medical school at The University of Texas at Houston. There they made frequent trips to the skeet shooting range together, boiled crawfish and met the women of their dreams. Jerry stood next to Joseph and Tatyana, all smiles and encouragement, at the fateful block party where their first date was planned. Jerry’s friendship, joyous personality and indomitable love of game night makes him the ideal best man.

Dylan and Joseph are both surgical residents at Mt. Sinai Hospital where they met. They also share a special understanding that comes from dating wonderful women for over half a decade (one of us a bit longer) before proposing. They have spent countless hours working and living in the hospital together including during the COVID pandemic in Manhattan. They have a shared love of cats, Italian food and witty banter.
Sean Johnson

Sean and Joseph are both Chief surgical residents at Mt. Sinai after which Sean will pursue fellowship training at Duke in endocrine surgery. This man gets more done in the early morning hours than anyone else particularly regarding his avid love of biking which has secured him national recognition. He’s a die hard Packer fan, video game enthusiast and pit master. Sean often plays host to the surgical residency on his patio where he grills with a propane tank Joseph smuggled into Manhattan for just that purpose.
Hans "Max" Huber

Max began surgical residency at Mt. Sinai with Dylan, Sean, Nicole, Hannah, Lauren and Joseph. He pioneered the residency wedding with Caroline, his enchanting new wife just two years ago. Joseph and Max took consult call together during their second year leaning heavily on their camaraderie and good cop, bad cop system. You can decide who was who. Max always knows the trendiest places to see and be seen. They have spent many nights painting the town red from venerable old steak houses to the much discussed e-bike incident.
