Maid of Honor & Lead Visual Designer
Cat has been my best friend for almost 20 years and there is no one else I would rather have beside me on her wedding day. And nobody else I would rather have in charge of decorations (Cat has a BFA)! She has been there for me through every hill and valley of my life, from childhood to college and now into this new adventure of adulthood. I would be lost without her.
Best Man & Tech Support/Bee Wrangler
I’ve known Ben for almost a decade and he’s been my closest friend for most of that time. He’s a genius, a madman, and the most prolific collector of sheep on the Island of Catan. He’s the only person who will “yes, and…” my unhinged ramblings about ancient history, so ya’ll can blame him for the way that I am. Conversations with Ben inspire and soothe existential dread in equal measure, so it’s best to just engage in them copiously for good measure. I could never hope for a better friend and mentor.
Bridal Attendant & First Mate of Planning
Cortney became a close friend of mine at the end of college, and I was honored to be her bridesmaid in her own wedding! Also, I shamelessly texted her daily with planning questions. She is loyal, helpful, dedicated, and literally the funniest person I know. She has exemplary taste in everything to aesthetics to desserts, and I love her.
Groom's Attendant & Menswear Director
Oh Zoe. Every time I think about her I just want to give her a bear hug. Another ASU Freshman year addition to my life, Zoe elevates any room or conversation she enters with a perfectly friendly and positive attitude. Her vibes are contagious and so are her dimples because you’ll be smiling constantly whenever you’re around her. And she’s wicked smart to boot. Of all the people I know, I think Zoe is the person I’m most excited to call “old friend” one day. She’s a keeper.
Bridal Attendant & Head Playlist Adviser
Carson and I have known each other for 20 years and grew up together listening to music and going to concerts. Carson is and always shall be, WAY cooler than I am. I cede all playlist input to her indefinitely. (She is also the toughest person I know and regularly tells me about horror movies that give me nightmares just from her descriptions.)
Groom's Attendant & Partier-In-Chief
Everybody needs a friend like Jake. He’ll sell you crypto, drive you around in a fast car, and make sure you have the best damn bachelor party anybody’s ever had…. And we haven’t even left yet. The man is just a stand up guy and makes every gathering of friends better with his presence. He and Ben go way back, too, so that’s fun. Definitely ask him about Jim’s Wild Ride.
Bridal Attendant & A/V Director
Nick and I met through mutual friends in Charlotte and have spent the past several years having adventures and making road trip memories. He also does music production, A/V, and graphic design for a living and graciously lent his expertise! Thank you for teaching me so much every single day.
Groom's Attendant & Mosh Pit Commander
Trey was my roommate at Appalachian State. Our friendship sparked over a shared passion for all that which is sonically brutal and was forged in the crucible of Freshman year in the basement of East Hall. We’ve seen a lot of weird shit together between the drunken woodland excursions to the weird P-Funk show we went to, but somehow we managed to survive. Here’s to continuing to do that for as long as possible.
Bridal Attendant & Medical Standby
Noah and I ran in similar circles all through college but didn't become close till post-grad, at which point our friendship grew exponentially. Noah is also a nurse and patiently answered all medical questions from "Do you think I have COVID-19?" to "Does this look infected?" This represents a nice break for my father, also a nurse. Also, nurses are superheroes and you should buy Noah a drink, scented candle, or other token.
Groom's Attendant & Spiritual Adviser
I met Chris at a company party a couple years back and his stories and perspectives never cease to amaze. He’s well-travelled and has a penchant for the gnostic and kaleidoscopscopic elements of the world. I’m excited to build on our friendship further over the years to come.
Flower Child
Faelan is my "kind of nephew", the son of my dear friend Hannah (sibling of the MoH and hairstylist extraordinaire)! He's an expert on Catbus and dinosaurs, so his contributions are invaluable. We are so honored and excited to have him as a part of the ceremony.
Flower Child
Blaine is my first and only niece, and she's gotten the Bratton genetics through and through. This girl makes up her mind and sticks to it! She is a wonderful continuation of the family, and we're honored and excited to have her as a part of the ceremony.
