Things To Do

If you're staying for a few days or looking for a way to spend some time in the Richmond area, here are a few suggestions of things to see and do.

James River: Pony Pasture

7200 Riverside Drive, Richmond, VA 23225

The James River runs through the city, and there are lots of beautiful areas to walk or have a picnic on the rocks! Check out Pony Pasture for easy access and parking, or some of the other accessible areas along Riverside Drive near the Huguenot Bridge that share a trail system.

Maymont

1000 Westover Rd, Richmond, VA 23220

Maymont is a 1000-acre green space with a walk-able wildlife park, nature center, gardens, and trails. There are some indoor spaces to enjoy too, if the weather is not on your side.

Carytown

Richmond, VA 23221

Carytown is a great little district full of fun indie stores, vintage boutiques, restaurants and cafes, and an historic theater. Great way to spend a little time poking around and getting something good to eat.

Hardywood Brewery at West Creek

820 Sanctuary Trail Drive, Richmond, VA 23238

If you're looking for somewhere neat to hang out on the west side of the city, Hardwood Craft Brewery at West Creek is a great spot surrounded by a Wildlife Preserve, with a tap room, weekly food trucks, and disc golf course.

Virginia Museum of Fine Arts

200 North Arthur Ashe Boulevard, Richmond, VA 23220
