FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

In true Noah and Tarynn fashion, the day will be full of lawn games, dancing, and bouncy castles! For the men, we recommend slacks/golf pants, polos, and comfortable shoes. For the women, a cotton dress, tennis dress, sandals, or sneakers will fit the bill for the day. Of course, Flowered Shirts™ and colorful prints are HIGHLY encouraged. Come ready to have fun!

Question

Can we take pictures?

Answer

We request that you remain present with us during such an important moment in our lives and not use your phone during the ceremony. We chose a great team of photographers to capture our big day, but once the reception starts you are encouraged to take as many pictures as you'd like. We would love to see what you've been up to during your time in West Virginia! We would greatly appreciate any and all photos from your trip and the reception.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Although we adore your children, we've elected to limit our ceremony and reception to adults only.

Question

Are dogs welcome?

Answer

Although we adore your dogs, we've elected to limit our ceremony and reception to humans only.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, please include any allergies or dietary restrictions in your RSVP.

Question

I only come to weddings for the food, what can I expect?

Answer

After the ceremony, we will have an open bar with beer, wine, and seltzers. We will be serving appetizers during cocktail hour, a full buffet dinner, and late night snacks. As is tradition with the area, you can expect a cookie table with bags to take home.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We are hosting a Welcome Event for all guests at the Go Mart Ball Park on Friday, September 12. Please RSVP through the link in this website, and we hope to see you there! Charleston is near and dear to our hearts, so we highly recommend taking an extra day or two to explore everything the area has to offer. We've compiled a list of our favorite local shops and restaurants under the "Things to Do" page. You can also make an hour detour to New River Gorge National Park in Fayetteville, WV. For the adventurous folks, book a white water rafting trip on the Gauley River, ranked the 2nd Best Whitewater Rafting trip in the World!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

About 144 acres of parking, in fact! If you choose to drive to the wedding, we will have designated parking near the ceremony space. You will lose service on the drive out, so we recommend keeping your phone GPS going until you arrive at our home. There will also be posted signs at every turn from the interstate exit on I-77 all the way to the ceremony and parking. You can also follow the written directions provided in your formal invitation.

Question

Can my car make it up the hill on your country road?

Answer

Our home is located at the top of a hill on a gravel road. A vehicle with FWD/AWD/4WD and higher ground clearance is recommended for making it to the top of the ceremony site. We are located in a rural area, so be on the lookout for potholes, wildlife, and maybe a loose cow or two.

Question

How country are we talking here? Will I hear banjos?

Answer

Maybe! For the folks who haven't been to our home yet, be prepared for sun, bugs, and uneven ground. We will provide sunscreen, bug spray, plenty of water and other accomodations to make your evening with us more enjoyable. Be prepared for the drive to take a little longer than what Google Maps suggests, and be aware that there isn't cell service available at our home. We're excited for you to unplug and celebrate the beautiful life we've built together!
