Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, please dress in formal black tie attire. Please no jeans, no shorts of any kind, no tennis shoes, no sun dresses, no beach cover ups, no leggings or any casual wear. Don’t over think it too much , just something nice. We would love to see everyone looking all fancy.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Yes your invitation should be addressed to you and a plus one. But make sure to put the date in the rsvp. Please do not show up with a date if you only put yourself on the rsvp.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As much as we love your children we please ask that you leave them home and enjoy a night out. If you run into any issues let us know.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at the ceremony NO LATER than 10 minutes before to refrain from disturbing the beginning of the ceremony.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes , there is free parking in the parking lot at Vos chapel. And for Cityflats there is a parking garage connected to the back, as well as many parking garages in the area. Unfortunately Cityflats does not validate parking. There should also be free parking on the street.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

There will be transportation for the wedding party plus photographer/videographer to the chapel and back to Cityflats ballroom . Otherwise all guests will need to plan on driving to chapel and back to reception space which is about 15 minutes. After reception, there are many hotels in the area in which you shouldn’t have to drive if you book in one of those hotels.

Do I need to select a dinner option?

Answer

You do not need to select a food choice. We will be having station style food. We took into consideration many dietary concerns. There will be a wide variety of delicious options. If you have an allergy concern let me know we will do our best to accommodate.

ASAP. But NO LATER than March 30 2022.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Our wedding is the same weekend as many sports events as well as Grand Valley graduation and Kuyper College graduation. Should you need to stay in a hotel outside of our block, I would suggest booking that as soon as possible.

Where do I go at cityflats ?

Answer

77 Monroe center entrance (not the city flats hotel main entrance) . The lobby you entire into should have a bank and a hair salon. The City flats Ballroom is upstairs .

What to do during the time gap?

Answer

It seems like a big gap . But we will be having the guests stay at the chapel while we greet everyone & while we are taking photos for a little bit. Then we will do our formal “exit” . There shouldn’t be too much time in between , once you leave, before the cocktail hour. But we ask that you please do not go to a restaurant/bar while waiting. We have a lot of food/alcohol available at cocktail hour for you all.
