Flight
Casale de' Pasquinelli is located in the hills of Lucca in Tuscany. With many traveling from California, Milan (MXP) and Rome (FCO) offer the most international flight options. Florence and Pisa offer the closest access to Lucca once in Europe. We will be flying from SFO into Florence and then taking a train from Florence to Lucca. Florence (FLR) – The closest major airport to Lucca, approximately 1 hour away. Ideal for the shortest travel time. * This is where we will by flying into for convenience. Pisa (PSA) – About 30–40 minutes from Lucca. Often has more direct flights from other parts of Europe if you are traveling before rather than international. Rome (FCO) – From Rome, Lucca is reachable by train in 2.5–3.5 hours. Milan (MXP & LIN) – From Milan, Lucca is accessible by train in roughly 3.5–4 hours. Florence if stopping there before is accessible in 1.5 hours.
Train
Traveling by train in Italy is easy and highly recommended. You will want to use either : Italo Treno or Trenitalia. There is an app you can download. Most train routes to Lucca pass through Florence’s main station, Firenze Santa Maria Novella (SMN). If you arrive in Rome or Milan, the high-speed train will bring you to Florence, where you can easily transfer to a direct regional train to Lucca. The Florence → Lucca train runs about every hour, takes around 1 hour 15 minutes, and costs roughly €8. Note: Guests arriving in Pisa can take a direct train to Lucca and may not need to connect through Florence.
Hotel
The accommodations below are located within Lucca’s city center. Lucca, known as the "walled city" has restaurants and shops. Lucca is approximately 20 minutes from the villa where events will take place. It is the closest major town for exploring before and after the wedding.
