FAQ

The Wedding Website of Taressa Soto and Marcus de la Pena
Question

Can I Bring a Guest?

Answer

We look forward to seeing all at the welcome party! Although we would love to include everyone on the wedding day, the event will be limited to the wedding day guest list. The wedding day will be an adult only event. If you are invited to the wedding day ceremony and reception, you will see an asterisk (*) next to your name on the wedding day RSVP page on our website.

Question

Any travel recommendations?

Answer

We would recommend getting to Italy a few days before wedding event's. Most will fly into Milan or Rome. If you want to split up the travel and explore, we would recommend taking a train to Florence to spend a few days before the wedding and from Florence then train to Lucca. The train from Florence to Lucca will be a little over an hour. We would HIGHLY recommend that you not stay in Florence for the wedding events. It will be very difficult to travel too and from. See travel and accommodation page for more details.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We will provide more details as we get closer.

Question

What will the weather be like in July?

Answer

Expect warm days and comfortable evenings, Mid 80s°F. Light, breathable fabrics recommended.

Question

Where will the ceremony, reception, and dancing be held?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will take place outdoors in two different areas of the property. Since both spaces are on grass, we’ll provide heel caps for anyone wearing heels. Dancing will be on a hard surface, and we recommend bringing a pair of comfortable shoes for the dance floor—we’ll have a place to store them until it’s time to party!

Question

What currency is used? Should I exchange money?

Answer

Italy uses Euro (€). Credit cards are widely accepted. We recommend exchanging a small amount for taxis, markets, etc. You can exchange prior to leaving the US with your local bank. They typically need 3-4 days notice so we would recommend taking care of this a week before you leave. Alternatively, you can easily exchange when you get to Italy.

Question

Gifts?

Answer

Your presence is more than enough, Truly!! Since this is a destination wedding, please no physical gifts. If you’d like to contribute, see our registry.

Question

When should I arrive on the wedding day?

Answer

Please arrive at 4:30. Ceremony will be taking place shortly thereafter.
