I live in the Taling Chan neighborhood so this is not far from the wedding venue and hotel. Just tell the cab to take you here. I recommend arriving early (right when the open) because it gets hot super quick. Pack a hat, bring a folding fan, and water. You can try boat noodles here and one of my favorite desserts (Kanome Tuy- coconut dessert)! There is also some small shopping spots here.
This place is lovely and is owned by one of our family friends! This is a great place to stroll at night. There's great food, drinks, and shopping that overlooks the Bangkok river. The Ferris wheel is a must if you want to see the Thailand skyline!
Sick and tired of the heat?! Take a stroll through Icon Siam where the ac is cold, food options are endless, and name-brand stores galore. You will find the standard H&M, Uniqlo, and even Chanel stores here. Plan ahead- traffic is crazy. Get a taxi and not a tuk-tuk for this trip. If you're up for an adventure, find the train to take you there!
Tip: Make a reservation ahead of time! Rooftop cocktail bar located on the 63rd floor of a 820-ft. skyscraper & hotel with city views. It is on the other side of the river so plan to leave early by a taxi. Also, be aware some taxi's might want to drop you off half way there and you'll need to get another taxi back to the hotel. Just always let them know where you're going prior to getting in just in case they say no.
My family eats here at least once a week. The price is just right and the food is amazing. It's a few minutes from our house if you'd like to stop by here for lunch after our wedding ceremony Friday morning.
I grew up going to this mall after school. We paid all our bills here, watched movies, bowled, and ate food. This is considered one of the "smaller" malls but it has so much food! Find BBQ (green dragon outside the door) or MK BBQ. It's our favorite spot. You can even try Thai McDonalds here ha!
Ayutthaya is a city in Thailand, about 80 kilometers north of Bangkok. It was capital of the Kingdom of Siam, and a prosperous international trading port, from 1350 until razed by the Burmese in 1767. The ruins of the old city now form the Ayutthaya Historical Park, an archaeological site that contains palaces, Buddhist temples, monasteries and statues. The park is on an island between 3 rivers. •This place is about an hour drive north of Bangkok and can easily be a day trip.
Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan or Wat Arun is a Buddhist temple in Bangkok Yai district of Bangkok, Thailand, on the Thonburi west bank of the Chao Phraya River. This can be seen from Sala Rooftop Bar as well and you will see the temple at night during our rehearsal dinner.
