Question

Are Kids Invited?

Answer

Due to the limited size of the venue, we have decided to make this an adults-only event.

Question

What is the elevation?

Answer

The elevation of the town of Estes Park is approximately 7,500 feet above sea level, and Rockey Mountain National Park is even higher! Many of our friends and family will be coming from lower elevations. PLEASE remember to drink plenty of water, altitude sickness is no fun. You will feel the effects of alcohol and other substances more quickly than at lower elevations, so be alert and take it easy.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The weather in Colorado can be unpredictable. Usually, around this time of year, it is in the 50's to 60's during the day and 30's to 40's during the night. We have however experienced both heat waves and blizzards. We recommend you keep an eye on the weather and be prepared for both extremes.

Question

What about COVID-19 / the Delta Variant

Answer

In light of the emergence of the Delta variant and current CDC recommendations, we have made the decision that our wedding celebration will only be for those who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. All staff working the event will be fully vaccinated. If you are not fully vaccinated before September 16th, we ask that you not attend. This is a decision that we have made as a couple in order to maximize the safety and enjoyment for all of our guests. We thank you for understanding and respecting our wishes in this matter. If you have questions regarding this, please contact us.

Question

September 30th is a Thursday, is that right?

Answer

Yes, our party is on Thursday, September 30th. We realize this is a weekday and a bit unusual. We did not have a lot of choices when picking our new party date due to all the weddings that were delayed in 2020 as well as all the people who had originally planned to get married in 2021. We hope this can be an opportunity for you to take a long weekend vaccation in a beautiful mountain town after a year of sequestration.

Question

WHAT’S THE DRESS CODE?

Answer

The Dress code for our reception is "Mountain Formal", or cocktail. We want you to feel elegant and comfortable. Please bear in mind that the venue has a large deck and many windows that open into the mountain air, so it may get cool as the sun goes down.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your wedding invitation lists "and guest" then yes! otherwise, we would prefer if it was just you who attended.

Question

Where will the reception be?

Answer

Cocktail hour will be on the upper deck of the venue pavilion. This deck is open to the mountain air and has a partial roof. Dinner and dancing will be in the lower ballroom. This room has full-length windows and doors that can be opened to let in the fresh air and closed as the evening gets cooler.

Question

Are there any organzied activities planned for the night before the party?

Answer

We have no formal events for Wednesday night. Feel free to explore Estes Park and get together with other friends and family.

Question

How / when do I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP right here on our website in the "RSVP" tab no later than September 1st 2021.

Question

Is there transportation from lodging to the Venue?

Answer

The venue is a part of the "Fall River Village" condo complex. We have included their website on the "where to stay" tab. If you are staying there it is a very short walk to the venue. Several other lodging options are also presented in the "where to stay" tab, some are walking distance, some are a little farther. If you choose other accommodations you may need to coordinate transport with other guests.

Question

Is there parking?

Answer

There is parking at the venue, but it is a short walk away from most of the lodging options in the "where to stay" tab.
