Welcome to our greatest adventure!

Kam and Tara met through their awesome mutual friend Amy, who knew the couple would be something special way before the two themselves realized it. After several attempts to flirt at parties, Kam was finally able to get Tara's attention when he challenged her to a Guitar Hero battle. (Side note: this battle did not take place until months after they starting dating) The couple's first date was on the 21st night of September (sung to the Earth, Wind & Fire Song of course). After just one date, Kam took Tara to his favorite place on earth, the Lake Merwin family cabin, where she reluctantly helped Kam catch the biggest Tiger Musky he had ever seen. Turns out, the fish wasn't the only one getting hooked that day! 6 months later, Kam chose Lake Merwin as his epic backdrop when he shared the four-letter L word with Tara. From there, their adventures really took off!

Tara and Kam have not waited until marriage to start their lives together. They have spent the past four years on multiple cross-country road trips, backpacking trips through SE Asia, changing careers, starting AND finishing masters programs, and settling themselves into new careers in Washington, D.C. Their duo became a wolfpack with the addition of their beloved german shepherd husky pup. The couple got Millie during the first summer of the pandemic when they knew they would be able to complete their masters programs online and stay out West with their families. She is the most loving, spoiled, and sweetest dog they could have ever hoped for.

Kam proposed to Tara where it all began, Lake Merwin! This place was so significant to both of them - where Tara helped Kam catch his famous Tiger Musky, where they said I love you, where they spent countless summer days with friends and family, and where they raised Millie! It only made sense to ask the all important question here. The couple shared a sweet moment on the dock, and then were met with family and friends for an intimate celebration. They cannot wait for the chance to continue the celebration of their love story with all of you!
