Most of you know our story, we met on a dove hunt John's company was sponsoring. We were paired up and had 2 full days of casually getting to know each other, but this was all from a professional work aspect. I was impressed by his shooting skills and he was impressed with my retrieving skills. I won $100 on a bet of finding a bird that fell over the fence behind us. So anyhow a few weeks go by and we keep in touch via text and I invite him over for TTU football and French onion dove soup, since he had supplied me with 2 limit bags. He showed up and I could tell he was liking me (and the soup!) but I wanted to keep things professional and told all my friends don't leave me alone with him! But later that night we had a midnight stroll down the graffiti alley near my place and I felt a sense of adventure that he would actually be willing to walk with me, down that street, at that time of night, but most importantly I felt safe with him. So then he couldn't wait til next weekend to see me and that's when we had our first official date at lunch the following Monday. The next weekend we went to a Halloween party and that's the official day I claim us a couple, 10/31/20. John's been saying from the beginning, "When you know, you know." Well it took me a little longer, but I was sure pretty quick when he came to Floydada for Christmas 2020, unprompted!
