An amazing waterfront park over looking Manhattan skyline. There's options for kayaking, volleyball courts, a skating rink, a carousel, and some shops and restaurants too. Check out Pilot, a floating boat bar off Pier 6, Fornino, for rooftop pizza and beer, Luke's Lobster, and Ample Hills for ice cream. If you're visiting, it's a must!
An underground food hall of over 40 vendors in Downtown Brooklyn. You can walk around with a drink in your hand and have snacks from lots of Brooklyn locals, and a few Manhattan expats. Dekalb Market is in the lower level of City Point, which hosts a bunch of shopping options (Century 21, Target), and is also home to the Alamo Draft House, a dine in movie theater. There's a great little bar attached to the theater that is also a wax museum of serial killers, oddities and some other super weird stuff.
Down to throw some axes and drink a beer? You've found your home away from home :) The "Axperts" will teach the basics in about 10-15 minutes and then you will get to compete in some fun games against your friends. Your Axpert will be with you throughout the experience to assist and help keep score. Like darts, but with danger.
Brooklyn Bowl is in Williamsburg, and has great bowling lanes and space. There's a Blue-Ribbon menu inside, and a full bar. Bowling is first come, first serve, and is less pricey if you go with more than 4 player. The bowling alley turns into a music venue at 5PM, and hosts some great known and unknown acts.
One of our absolute favorite restaurants and cocktail bars. Voted one of the bests bars in the world and has one hell of a fried chicken plate! Great brunch too. You cant go wrong with this speakeasy. Located just a few blocks away from the wedding venue.
You like ice-cream? No? You're uninvited. Of course you do! There's a little Ample Hills stand in Brooklyn Bridge Park, one in Dekalb Market, and a giant one next to the Royal Palms, where the after-party will live. It's all delicious, - and calories don't count when you are on vacation.
