Founded in the 12th century by Cistercian monks, it’s one of the best-preserved abbeys in southwest France. Today, it houses a major art collection (donated by the Simonow Foundation) including works by Picasso, Monet, and Renoir. Hours: 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 2 pm to 6 pm.
A UNESCO World Heritage site on the Route of Santiago de Compostela. Features a 14th-century cloister and collegiate church with remarkable Gothic architecture. Famous locally for its “cat legend” stone cat statues scattered around the village.
Known as the “Moulin des Tours”, this fortified medieval mill has four towers and a historic stone bridge crossing the Gélise river. Associated with Henri IV, who spent time here. Today, it’s an atmospheric site to walk around, with guided tours available.
