Château de Poudenas 2 Rue du Château 47170 Poudenas, France
One of the very few downsides of the beautiful French countryside is that Uber and buses are unfortunately not available in the area. We encourage guests to carpool with others at their hotel, book a taxi ahead of time, or simply leave their car at the Château and take one of the taxis home. Little update on taxis 🚕 We’ve recently learned that having a fleet of taxis available at the Château to take guests home throughout the wedding weekend will be more limited than we originally expected. To help everything run smoothly, we’d strongly recommend arranging your return transportation in advance where possible. If you’re booking a taxi to bring you to the château, please let them know at the time of booking if you’ll also need a return journey later that evening and ideally arrange for them to either be on call or scheduled for pickup. Welcome Party Women: Cocktail dresses Men: Jacket, no tie Wedding Women: Long dresses or formal gowns Men: Black tuxedo if you have one, or a dark suit Pool Party Casual summer outfits and/or bathing suits Please note: Some events will take place on grass and gravel, so we recommend block heels for comfort. While daytime temperatures will be warm, evenings in the countryside can be cooler, so we recommend bringing a light jacket or wrap. Expect daytime highs around 75–79°F (24–26°C) and cooler evenings around 55–59°F (13–15°C), with long, bright days and sunsets around 9:30–9:45 PM (21:30–21:45).
Black Tie Optional means formal attire is encouraged, but not required. Men are welcome to wear a tuxedo, but a dark suit with a tie is perfectly appropriate. Women are welcome to wear a floor-length gown or a formal long dress.
