Here are a few ideas for food and fun in the Boothbay Harbor region beyond all that's available at Linekin Bay Resort.

Wow. Visitors come to the region just to visit the Gardens. A beautiful spot, great walking, and current exhibit of giant trolls is impressive to say the least. Advance tickets required.

Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens

One of our favorite woods walks nearby leads over to beautiful view of the Damariscotta River. Under 4 miles, but be sure to follow the trail markers!

Linekin and Burley Preserves

Park along the road and walk the dramatic granite ledge round Ocean Point - look out to sea, you may spot a seal or porpoise.

Ocean Point Walk

This casual spot offers plenty of Maine fare, a selection of oysters, and live music most evenings.

Mine Oyster

Very reliable dinner on the harbor with tasty alternatives to seafood.

Taka Mediterranean Bar and Grill

The fanciest place in Boothbay Harbor is known for way-above average food and a really nice deck at the head of the harbor. Reservations recommended here.

Coastal Prime

Go-to spot for take-out breakfast sandwiches and donuts. They also serve some tasty Vietnamese food.

Baker's Way

Shuck your own and slurp them down with a beer at this renowned oyster farm. Its a bit of a drive (30 minutes +/-) from Linekin Bay, but there is a nice walking trail nearby too - Dodge Point Preserve.

Glidden Point Oyster Farms

Blueberry ice cream. Lots of other flavors too but you are in Maine!
