For guests staying at Grand Hotel Castello Brancaccio and accompanying cottages: Pelk Bar is located right next door. Perfect for: Morning Coffee & Pastries, Aperitivo, Daily Dinners and Late-night drinks!
For guests staying at Grand Hotel Duca D'Este: Truly a must-visit restaurant. From the outside, you might wonder what it is, but they serve delicious Italian food and it is always full of locals. The owner alone is already great entertainment
For guests staying at Grand Hotel Duca D'Este: The gardens are truly beautiful in the summer and definitely worth a visit.
For drinks in Rome: these are some of the best cocktails we've ever had!
Regarding Rome, an important tip: if guests are planning to visit museums, pleasedo not to purchase entrance tickets from vendors on the street. For Vatican Museums, standing in line does not guarantee entry, especially during busy periods. If guests are interested in a tour, Judith Verberne from Rome Tours is highly recommended. She offers private and group tours and is English-speaking. She can be reached at: rometours.nl@gmail.com Their website is in Dutch, but all tours are conducted in English. For both group tours and semi-private tours, entrance tickets are included in the price. Another big advantage is the skip-the-line access, which saves a significant amount of time. They offer various tours, which I can personally recommend, as well as city walking tours through Rome that take you to places you would not normally discover. We have experienced this ourselves and found it to be very enjoyable and good value for money.
