Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

The wedding is located in Florence, Arizona in the barn at The Windmill Winery. The ceremony will take place outdoors and the reception will be indoors.

What time is the ceremony? What time is the reception?

Answer

We have the venue starting at 3pm. The ceremony will begin promptly at 4pm, cocktail hour will begin at 4:30pm, and the reception will start at 5:30pm.

What is the dress code? What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is Formal Smart Attire. This is a combination of Cocktail, Semi-Formal, and Dressy Casual. Wear what makes YOU feel like YOU! We love all colors and all styles. Women: Feel free to wear a gown, cocktail dress, or a dressy pantsuit to give a few examples. Men: You can wear a dress shirt and nice slacks, suit and tie, or even tux. Just a reminder - it is Sept in the desert... it will be hot! The ceremony will take place outdoors and the reception will be indoors (and in AC)! View photo at the top of the FAQ page for examples.

What weather should I expect?

Answer

We can't guarantee anything, but it is granted to be quite hot and sunny. The temperature typically ranges from 76 to 98 degrees Fahrenheit (24 to 36 degrees Celsius). It is the desert so there could be possible winds. Keep an eye on the weather in the weeks leading up to the wedding.

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors and the reception will be indoors.

What should I expect after the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will be followed by cocktail hour from 4:30 to 5:30pm while the bride and groom take photos. There will be complimentary beer and wine! Dinner will start around 6pm.

Will transportation be provided? Is there easy parking at the venue?

Answer

If you book your stay at the GreenTree Inn, there will be a free shuttle to and from the wedding venue. If you choose to stay elsewhere, there is a parking lot specifically for our guests at the venue with plenty of space.

How do I RSVP?

Answer

We hope you'll be able to join us for our special day! With your digital Save The Date (sent via email, text, or both), there is a link which takes you to the RSVP section of this website. With your invitation, there is an RSVP section which you can scan the QR code and it will bring you here. Once you type your name in, the rest of your party (family or significant other) will be listed underneath and you can individually accept or decline per individual.

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by August 1, 2024 at the latest. The sooner the better! The earlier we know who can and can't make it, we may be able to allow for plus ones but we have a strict guest list number that we cannot exceed.

Are kids welcome?

Yes! They will already be listed under your name when you RSVP. Disclaimer: There may be explicit music

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Because our guest list is small, we have only invited our close family and friends. We are at capacity with our venue which means we are sadly unable to accommodate additional guests. We will only be able to accommodate those already listed on your invitation.

I can't attend the wedding in person. Will there be a virtual wedding celebration?

Answer

We are currently deciding on streaming our ceremony for those who cannot make it to be here with us in person. Details will be updated here once we make as decision - it would most likely be a zoom call to join in on.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

View the "travel" page on the website for details. We have secured a discount for our guests at nearby hotels, all listed on the travel page. We recommend the Greentree Inn for those who do not have transportation or do not want to drive far or at all. They offer a free shuttle to and from our wedding venue.

Are the ceremony and reception location easily accessible?

Answer

The parking lot for our venue is paved, however, there is uneven brick and gravel to get to the ceremony. It shouldn't be an issue, just be extra cautious if wearing heels. There is a walkway to the ceremony and it will be on grass. There is a walkway from the ceremony to the reception.

What will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

Answer

We will provide beer and wine during the cocktail hour, followed by a delicious dinner, and gelato for dessert!

I have a food allergy/dietary restriction, what's the best way to communicate that with you?

Answer

Our catering is buffet style, there will be a few options to choose from. If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, please send an email to elliotandtanisha@outlook.com with your full name (or anyone in your party's name) and details.

Will there be an open bar, limited bar, or cash bar?

Answer

We will be providing a limited bar. There will be beers and wines to choose from for 1 hour during the cocktail hour, and for an additional 3 hours during the reception. The Windmill Winery only holds certain alcohol permits so they do not carry all types of alcohol. However, there will be more options available for purchase i.e. select spirits, specialty/import beers, champagne, etc. Disclaimer - The Windmill Winery does not serve shots at venue events

We are registered through the Zola website, click on the tab "registry" to view.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We love photos! We do ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony, we'd like that time to be unplugged (don't worry, the moment will be captured by our photographer)!

Will there be any activities during the reception?

Answer

There will be lawn games (corn hole), and a bonfire (last 2 hours of reception)!

What color attire is the bridal party wearing?

Answer

The bridesmaids are wearing a mocha brown color and the groomsmen are wearing a light brown/taupe color. The groom is wearing a cream/sandy white color and the bride is in white!
