Things To Do in Tucson

Tucson is a special place to us both for many reasons. Tucson is where we met, where Chase was born and raised as a young kid, and where we gained the best network of friends and memories someone could ask for. Here are some of our favorite things to do and see (and eat) in Tucson
The University of Arizona

The University of Arizona

Tucson, AZ 85721
, (520) 621-2211

The heart of Tucson and the happiest place on Earth. Tour the campus' scenic Mall stretch and Old Main as well as Greek Row. There are tons of great restaurants, bars and shops on University Blvd on the west side of campus.

Sabino Canyon Recreation Area

Sabino Canyon Recreation Area

5700 North Sabino Canyon Road, Tucson, AZ 85750
, (520) 388-8300

Sabino Canyon offers many beautiful views and a gradual hiking trail into the canyon itself. This is very close to our Wedding Venue!

Mount Lemmon

Mount Lemmon

AZ 85619

Mount Lemmon is the largest peak of the Catalina mountains, which are the backdrop to our wedding venue. There are many hikes and trails to do throughout the mountain as well as gorgeous scenic drives and a great restaurant called The Iron Door at the top! Fun fact: Windy Point vista is where we took our engagement photos!

Saguaro National Park

Saguaro National Park

AZ
(520) 733-5153

Saguaro National Park lies on both the East and West sides of Tucson. The west side is easily accessible and has the best sunset views in the desert (in my not-so-humble opinion). East side is more mountainous and better for longer hikes.

Downtown

Downtown

Tucson, AZ

Downtown Tucson has had a massive revitalization in the past few years which has brought many excellent bars, breweries, shops, restaurants and more to the area. Easily accessible by Sun Link tram or car off the I-10.

La Encantada

La Encantada

2905 East Skyline Drive, Tucson, AZ 85718
, (520) 299-3566

This high end shopping center has multiple great restaurants to try and lies in the middle of the Catalina Foothills. North Italia was the location of our first date and dinner out together! Also located here is Blanco, a great mexican restaurant with a view of the city.

Frog & Firkin

Frog & Firkin

874 East University Boulevard, Tucson, AZ 85719
, (520) 623-7507

Frog & Firkin is THE premier daytime patio drinking experience around the UofA campus. Located on the west side of campus this pub-style bar has a great beer selection and tons of food to choose from.

Miss Saigon

Miss Saigon

1072 North Campbell Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85719
, (520) 320-9511

A great near-campus Veitnamese restaurant that serves up amazing Pho and spring rolls. Some say the Pho soup will cure any hangover... or at least that's what we've heard.

Teresa's Mosaic Cafe

Teresa's Mosaic Cafe

2456 North Silver Mosaic Drive, Tucson, AZ 85745
, (520) 624-4512

Mosaic is an outstanding mexican restaurant on the west side of Tucson where Chase has spent many lunch dates with Grandma Mary Cromwell through college and after. In-house tortillas and mexican meats make this place a favorite. P.S. the dining room has a view of the city as it is up on a foothill.

El Charro Café

El Charro Café

7725 North Oracle Road, Tucson, AZ 85704
, (520) 229-1922

El Charro Cafe is a Tucson institution of amazing mexican food that features their own signature sun-dried meat called Carne Seca. There are multiple locations around Tucson. We recommend the one closest to campus or on Oracle near the foothills.
