Question

What is the Dress Code?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail attire. (Go to the "Dress Code" tab on the website for more details and visual examples.) We’ll be celebrating on a rooftop with both indoor and outdoor spaces. (see photo of the space above) We recommend bringing a light layer to stay comfortable if the evening turns cool. Cocktail attire is dressy but not too formal. Think elevated evening wear: For women: A knee-length or midi dress, or a tailored jumpsuit with heels or nice flats. For men: A suit or dress pants with a blazer, button-down shirt, and dress shoes (a tie is optional but encouraged).

Question

Can I wear any color to the wedding?

Answer

Yes! Feel free to wear whatever color you'd like, except white, of course 😉.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

In late September, Chicago's weather starts to transition into fall. You can usually expect mild temperatures, often ranging from the low 60s to mid-70s. It can feel cool in the mornings and evenings, but afternoons are often comfortably warm—especially if the sun’s out. We suggest keeping an eye on the forecast as the wedding gets closer and pack a light jacket just in case it gets breezy. 🌤 Average Temperature in late September: Daytime highs: Around 65–75°F (18–24°C) Evening lows: Around 50–60°F (10–16°C)

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

If your invitation includes a guest, they’re more than welcome. Otherwise, we kindly ask that you stick to the names listed on your invite so we can keep our guest list on track. That said, feel free to reach out as the date gets closer — if space opens up, we’ll do our best to accommodate.

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

As much as we adore all the little ones in our lives, we had to do some serious downsizing and trim the list for capacity reasons— turns out, we know too many amazing kids! We’re keeping the guest list limited to immediate family and a few children who we don’t get to see as often. If your child is included, you’ll see their name when you RSVP. Thanks so much for understanding!

Question

What kind of food will be served?

Answer

We’ll be serving buffet-style Chinese food from Bixi Beer’s menu. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions so we can do our best to accommodate.

Question

Will there be a bar/alcohol?

Answer

Yes! We’ll be celebrating with a full open bar — so drinks are on us. One of our signature drinks will be a mocktail, and we’ll also have plenty of other non-alcoholic options to keep everyone refreshed and included. Please also be aware that the bar may ask for ID if you look young, so come prepared. And if you’re bringing teenagers under 21, kindly make sure they do not drink alcohol. The venue also allows smoking on the outdoor patio, so there’s no need to exit the venue or go back downstairs if you need a smoke break.

Question

What’s the parking situation?

Answer

Street parking near the venue is limited and can be unpredictable, so we recommend using a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft if possible. If you prefer to drive, apps like SpotHero can help you find nearby parking faster. Please note: there are no designated parking areas or valet service at the venue.

Question

What’s the best neighborhood to stay in?

Answer

Our venue is located in Logan Square, which is a fantastic neighborhood but doesn’t have many hotels nearby. For convenience, we recommend staying closer to downtown Chicago—in neighborhoods like the Loop, River North, or West Loop. These areas offer more hotel options and easy access to public transit. On the day of the event, you can easily take an Uber or rideshare to Logan Square, which is just a short trip away. Check out our recommendations on our "Travel & Hotels" tab

Question

Is Chicago safe to visit?

Answer

Yes, Chicago is pretty safe—especially in the areas where most visitors spend time. The neighborhoods we’ve recommended are vibrant, walkable, and full of great things to see and do. Use common sense like you would in any big city, and you’ll be just fine. Bonus: you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how clean and beautiful the city is!

Question

More questions? Hit us up!

Answer

We’re more than happy to help with any details you need to feel comfortable and ready for the event. Lucky for you, we’re not bridezillas or groomzillas, so no question is too small or silly. Don't hesitate to ask!
