We're Getting Married

Shane and I first saw each other summer of 2016. We were both working out minding our own business in the local LA fitness gym. If we were lucky, we would see each other in passing in the gym once a week. My workout schedule changed and so did his, so we did not see each other for a whole year. I did not think much of it, I was focused on my relationship with the Lord and waiting on God to send my husband, while Shane was also waiting on God to send his wife. August of 2017, as I was walking to the water fountain, I looked up to see Shane walking to the water fountain the same time. I figured to say hi since we were both getting water. " Hi " -Tanesha "Hey, how are you" - Shane " Oh, you aren't American" -Tanesha " No, I'm from Grenada" -Shane From that conversation, we continued to talk while at the gym and realized we actually had some things in common. We started to work out together for 6 months every day. During that time, I made it clear to Shane that I was not interested in him in any way other than working out. My prayer was for the Lord to hide my heart and to only open my heart to the man he had for me. Shane agreed and did not protest. But he still asked me to lunch and dinner time and time again. I never thought anything of our time spent together inside and out of the gym. It wasn't until July 2018 when Shane picked me up from the airport. He said to me " I made a decision". I had no idea what he meant when he told me that. He later asked me if he could take me to The Bok Tower for a date. During our time at the Tower, my heart began to feel love for him, which I never felt before. On the long drive back home, he asked me if he could hold my hand. That was the first time we held hands and it confirmed our feelings. The next day, Shane expressed to me that he wanted to pursue me for marriage. From that moment on, we began our courtship. We officially dated for 7 months before getting engaged : ).
