Summer formal. Don't be afraid of showing off your colorful outfit!
Guests (who are not staying at Leeds Castle) should arrive at 1pm. Our ceremony will start at 2pm.
Residential guests may check in at 1pm onwards. Please be reminded that our ceremony starts at 2pm. If you are driving, see below for parking directions.
Guests that are not staying overnight will need to enter via the Main Gate and then proceed through the grounds until they reach the barrier outside of the ticket office. There will be a steward on the barrier who will direct them through the grounds to the private Castle Car Park. The guests that are staying in the Stable Courtyard will need to enter via the Broomfield Road entrance and then they will be directed to Hospitality Reception where they will be able to check in to their bedrooms.
We recommend taking an Uber or train (which generally requires taking the tube, train, and taxi). It should take about 2 - 2.5 hour to get to Leeds Castle (depending on where you depart), but be sure to give yourself some additional buffer time.
The closest train station is Bearsted. Leeds Castle is 2.5miles / 6 minutes drive away from Bearsted station. When in doubt, Google Map it!
Yes, when you are in London - try to use Uber instead of taxi as taxi is extremely expensive! If you are taking the train / tube, then it's worth getting the Oyster Card which has a 6gbp cap each day. If you are in UK / Europe for more than a couple days, it is also recommended to get a local SIM card with data - be sure to ask for one that works in Europe (not just UK) if you are traveling to Europe as well.
We usually use a company called Apollo Taxis and their number is 01622 882020. Would also suggest taking Uber from London. It should be not more than 80gbp for a one way journey via Uber.
