The I Do Crew

The Wedding Website of Tamiko Little and Willis Turner
Meet our crew. All very different, but perfect together.

Kamiesha

Bridesmaid

Many folks have sisters, but none like Kamiesha. She is loving, supportive, caring, and seems to know a little something about every topic. She often takes time to call and visit family and is extremely loyal in good times and bad. She is always willing to participate in any hair brain idea we come up with the exception of sky diving, stating, "Why would anyone jump out of a perfectly good airplane." That's our Miesha! She's one in a zillion.

Delayne

Groomsman

Delayne and Willis met in 1993 at a Los Angeles comedy club. Years later these two continue to talk, debate and banter daily. We love having Delayne over to the house because he never comes empty handed, typically bringing a Sweet Potato pie -our favorite! Just don’t ask this brother to bring chitterlings. He says his first and last batch tasted like vinegar. Hah. Stay tuned for Delayne’s Pickled Chitterlings Stand. Coming to a potluck near you.

Bryttany

Bridesmaid

Meet Bryttany, the warrior of the family. She has taught us the true meaning of strength and perseverance. Bryttany has experienced many challenges in her life, but she never stops fighting. We are proud of the woman she is becoming as she demonstrates her personal mantra, "Rock What You Got!" We don't need to be perfect to live a perfectly happy life. I am excited to "rock what I got" with Bryttany all night long. Just give her 3 feet. This girl has a mean windmill. One of her blades could take you out.

Bryson

Groomsman

Bryson is the first born, which means we made a lot of mistakes. Nevertheless, Bryson turned out to be amazing. He is a NYU graduate, won Prom King, and was expected to be the first Black president... Despite his many accolades, Bryson's #1 claim to fame is performing as the Village People in the 4th grade. This brother aims high. Can't wait to see him drop it like its hot on the dance floor. Warning, he dances offbeat. Just smile and encourage him to find the beat again.

Ariel

Bridesmaid

The baby of the bunch is Ariel. She is our witty, smart, girlie girl with a punch. This avid reader and makeup extraordinaire first entered our lives when she literally popped out onto the living room floor before the ambulance arrived. Surprise! I am here! Everyone's life changed from that moment forward. Don't let this pre-teen fool you. Ariel is warm, affectionate and still loves to cuddle. We hope to steal a few dances with her in between texting her friends and watching you tube videos.

Jonathan

Groomsman

Jonathan - self proclaimed lady's man- is the athlete of the family. He is a natural at all sports, but has taken a special interest in football. Jonathan's high football IQ helps him flourish in the sport. When he is not playing, he enjoys listening to hip hop music from local San Diego artists and crafting ways to get out of doing his homework and chores . Ladies if you see him flashing those pearly whites at the wedding, please know he is working you and probably trying to see if you have a cute daughter. Lawd send help!

Lilyana

Flower Girl

Lilyana will be 6 in June and everyone knows June babies are the best. She loves giraffes, unicorns, the beach and FOOD (except potatoes). Lilyana’s hobbies include running, playing, painting, and yoga. Lilyana is ready to toss, throw and keep a few petals when no one is watching. Her spunky attitude makes her the perfect flower girl. It’s an honor to be upstaged by this little beauty at my own wedding.

Love

is Amazing

Malcolm

Ring Bearer

Malcolm Connell’s motto- Work hard play harder. He loves to sing, dance, and play "San's Undertale" on his piano. Favorite game Roblox. Malcolm is a gentleman and a scholar at age 5. Ask him about any subject and he can keep up or will return with profound research. Origin unknown as it seems he’s been here and beyond.

Kian

Ring Bearer

Kian recently became a big brother! Yippee! When he's not playing that role, he loves to stay active. Kian enjoys the outdoors from kayaking and swimming to camping. This 4 year old is a total sweetheart, but don't take that as a sign of weakness because he practices karate three times a week. He can definitely protect the rings while he steals everyone's heart.

Sandra

Mother of the Bride

Fondly known as Mooh Pooh! Anyone that knows Mooh Pooh knows how fun, zany and that touch of crazy she displays when you get out of line. But, we know her as an amazing mom. Despite being a single mother, on a teacher's salary, she did whatever it took to pay for flute lessons, cheer leading and band activities. She is a true ROCK STAR. So when you see her getting her groove on and boasting her hearty laugh, know that she deserves every bit of joy life has to offer and more.

Willis Sr

Father of the Groom

Everything is big in Texas and Willis Sr is no exception. Fondly known as Big T among his friends and Big Guy with the grandkids. This teddy bear gives the best hugs, sound advice and unlimited support. If you’re lucky, maybe you can enjoy some of his mouth watering brisket during the wedding festivities. We love our Big Guy with the big heart!

Tamiko

Bride

Kool-aid smiles and ol' lady twerking is what I do best.

Willis Jr

Groom

I like big butts and I cannot lie. You other brothers can’t deny.

Ericka

Bride Tribe

Ericka - my first Best Friend Forever! We are first cousins, but I’ve always considered her a sister. My favorite memories include building fortresses with blankets and dining room chairs and singing our hearts outs with homemade pencil microphones. Our top hit was I Wish it Was Tonight, Tonight, Tonight. I Wish it Was... Never heard of it? Probably before your time.

Sharma

Bride Tribe

Sharma - my first Road Dawg. In 9th and 10th grade Sharma and I would catch a series of local buses from Orange County to various locations in Los Angeles county. Sometimes up to 60 miles away without our parents knowing. Once we started driving, Sharma would steal our parent's car for our wild adventures. Sharma may have a different story, but don’t believe her. Boy-crazy girls do the darnedest things.

Penny

Bride Tribe

Penny and I met my first year of college. Several years later I decided to move to San Diego based greatly on knowing Penny and her family, who embraced me as kin. They were there to offer love, support, and an occasional meal. Our secret word is Beau’ing. It means flashing or acting a plum dumb fool because somebody (typically a boyfriend) made us upset. These 30 years have had many ups and downs and a fair share of Beau’ing. But during some of my lowest points, Penny was there to ease the load and get me through the trials.

Tracey

Bride Tribe

Tracey - I met Tracey at church and we became fast friends. We were both new mothers with our first born kids, who were only 3 months apart. Despite knowing squat, we created a mother’s support group called Mommy and Me. We sent our kids to the same daycare where they shared clothes, food, spoons, and cooties. We love spending our birthdays together with good food and wild parties - thanks in part to our zany friend, Joann.

Tamika

Bride Tribe

Tamika - next to telling people our names, Tamika and Tamiko, we really act like Thelma and Louise when together. We have so many “I can’t believe we just did that” stories from being her getaway driver in El Cajon, CA to tabletop dancing in Cabo, Mexico! And Vegas... let’s just pray it stays in Vegas. If I ever call you to bail me out of jail, please bring enough for my friend Tamika too.

Elizabeth

Bride Tribe

Elizabeth - Is my sister from another mister. We simply get each other. We’ve spent countless Sundays together in between church services sharing meals, long hours at Denny’s after services, and traveling to conferences laughing, debating, then laughing again. Elizabeth is a blast to travel with just don’t buy her cherries from street vendors, don’t ask her to sleep on the floor, don’t ask her to share a bed, don’t post too many pictures on Facebook, don’t drink water that’s too wet, and etc. Other than that... she’s a blast. But this woman of God can get a prayer through to the Heavens!

Akua

Bride Tribe

Akua is my fearless, raw, honest and committed friend. She is the realest of all my friends and gives it to me straight. I don’t always receive it as love, but I know she wants the very best for me. This inspiring woman encourages us to do better and live life without limits. My favorite concert of all time is when Akua and I attended a Snoop Dogg concert with our daughters. Bryttany and Ayo were absolutely MORTIFIED while we “dropped it like it was hot” All Night Long! I bet they wish they could un-see that night.

Yvonne

Bride Tribe

Yvonne - I was hired as a Customer Account Manager. Later I realized it was for ONE customer, Yvonne. She was giving my company the blues, and they probably deserved it. But beyond that tough exterior, I immediately saw and appreciated a strong, intelligent woman who is not about the games. We hit it off instantly when we first met in Orlando, FL during an industry conference. I left the company after a couple years, but our friendship has lasted nearly 20 years-complete with laughs, love and no nonsense advice. Our special bonding meal was a ton of crab legs and key lime pie - all on the company’s dime.

Denise

Bride Tribe

Denise - fondly known to me as Angel face. She has the sweetest face and everywhere we go people identify her as the Saint and me as the Ain’t. If they only knew... Denise is a loyal friend and always down for whatever. This wholesome farm girl loves rural living and city partying. Some of my best vacations have been with this world traveler. She’s my best friend of all time. She’s like all the others wrapped in one! Full disclosure: Denise did the final edits, which explains the previous two sentences. ROTFL - Gotta love this girl!

Shantell

Bride Tribe

Shantel - I first met Shantel during one of her trips to Cali. I knew I liked her when she told me, “now Tamiko, we like you and everything, but if you hurt my cousin, we’re going to have some problems.” After meeting family like Shantel and so many others, I knew Willis was the real deal. One of Shantel’s special gifts include cooking. This sister can make a gourmet meal in less than 20 minutes. My favorite Shantel saying is “What are you cooking Tamiko? No Baby, that don’t look right.”

Ferlinda

Bride Tribe

Ferlinda and I met while working at a Pager company. Yes- I said pager! My favorite moment with Ferlinda is the night she and I saw Willis perform. It had been nearly 15 years since I last saw Willis and I didn't know what to expect. I told Ferlinda I would buy her several drinks just in case he wasn’t funny. But to our surprise, it was an Alcoholic Anonymous show. Whaaat? NO BOOZE! My heart sank and I began to panic a little. What if he's not funny? FeFe is going to kill me. Fortunately Willis was absolutely hilarious. During the show Ferlinda constantly pointed out how Willis was still crazy about me. I hadn't noticed because I was too busy laughing. I just blushed and denied it. True friends see things we otherwise might miss.
